In general, the airless spray method, in which paint is atomized by applying high pressure and spraying it from a small nozzle tip (spray nozzle), is widely used among spray painting methods for reasons such as less scattering of mist and higher work efficiency. ing.

However, the normal value is 100Kg/ cm2 , and the high case is 200Kg/ cm2.
Since the paint is sprayed at a pressure exceeding 500km/h, the paint can reach speeds of 500km/h immediately after spraying, and there are hidden dangers in its handling. For this reason, in use,
Although people are careful not to put their hands or fingers near the spray nozzle or to avoid spraying it towards people, even the slightest bit of carelessness can lead to an accident, so a safer device is desired.

Conventionally, several guards of this type have already been proposed. For example, as shown in Fig. 1, a guard is attached to a nozzle that is removably fixed to a spray gun and has two press-molded plate-like walls on both sides. Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication 1973-
It has plate-shaped walls on both sides that incorporate the injection nozzle shown in No. 97807.

However, these wall guards (safety devices)
In this case, there is a lot of paint adhesion to this wall surface, and as a result, when used for a long time, the adhering paint becomes rough lumps and flies onto the painted surface, staining the painted surface. Furthermore, it is difficult to see the paint adhering to the opening of the injection nozzle, and it is dangerous to look into it from the front, which is also an unfavorable result.

Furthermore, in the former example, it is difficult to adjust the direction of the pattern sprayed from the spray nozzle, and it is necessary to predict in advance the position where the nozzle will be fixed and then tighten the nozzle holder, making alignment difficult. In the latter case, where the injection nozzle and guard are integrated, alignment is easy, but even in the range of normal use, there are more than 50 types of injection nozzles depending on the amount of spray and pattern width, and each On the other hand, it is extremely uneconomical and impractical to prepare something with such a guard.

That is, the present invention is a hand guard shaped to be placed in a dangerous area in front of the injection area by suitably bending or punching a narrow plate material or a wire material such as wire,
The hand guard is detachable from the airless gun,
To provide an airless gun equipped with an easy-to-position hand guard that does not cause paint adhesion or paint dripping.

Reference numeral 1 is a fence-like hand guard made by bending a narrow plate material (or wire material). The hand guard 1 has a complete space 2 in the direction in which the spray spreads, and a hand guard is provided on both sides perpendicular to the space 2. The base has four pillars 4 that make it easy to apply a positioning wrench, and a clamping frame part that connects the two left and right pillars 4. 5 is provided with an arcuate groove 6 for fitting the nozzle holding part. Reference numeral 7 denotes a gun body, and the nozzle base 10 of the injection nozzle 9 is located at the tip of the needle valve 8 inserted through the center of the gun body.
The nozzle holder 11 is screwed into the nozzle holder 11.
12 is a nozzle opening.

Next, when attaching this hand guard 1 to the gun body 7 side, insert the arc grooves 6, 6 in the clamping frames 5, 5 at the base end of the hand guard 1 into the nozzle retainer 11.
It is fitted into a circumferential groove 13 cut into a wedge shape.

Here, when positioning the injection nozzle 9 (the injection nozzle 9 is fixed to the gun body 7 with a nozzle holder 11, since the nozzle holder 11 rotates by tightening the screw, the injection nozzle 9 also rotates). However, the position will be irregular. Therefore, positioning is performed by rotating only the injection nozzle 9 after fixation). For example, the most commonly used means is a monkey spanner as shown by the two-dot chain line in As shown in the figure, position A by placing it between the pillars 4 of the hand guard 1 on the parallel surface of the injection nozzle 9, and then rotate only the hand guard 1 to determine the position of the hand guard 1. After that, a predetermined paint spraying operation is performed, but in this case, the hand guard 1 attached to the tip of the spray nozzle 9 only has the shape of a minimal fence made of a plate or wire. Not only does the area where paint adheres to the hand guard be significantly smaller than that of the conventional wall-forming hand guard, but there is almost no turbulence in the airflow due to the jet flow, and the airflow flows from the rear of the side along the jet flow, further reducing paint adhesion. (With the conventional wall shape, air is drawn in from the front and from the top and bottom of the pattern, causing air turbulence on the sides and making it easy for paint to adhere.)

As mentioned above, the airless gun equipped with the hand guard of the present invention has a safety structure in which the hand guard has a fence shape as a whole with a narrow plate or wire material arranged in a space in the spray spreading direction. There is less paint adhering to the surface, so there is no paint dripping, and the surface of the object to be coated is not roughened. Also, since the guard is in the form of a fence as a whole, tools such as spanners can be attached, and the tip can be positioned while the guard is attached. Moreover, it can also be worn with conventional injection nozzles. Of course, since this guard member is made of steel and spring wire, it has sufficient strength and can withstand long-term use.
