This idea was made to solve this problem, and by interposing a resin layer between two urethane foam press sheets and adhering them together, a surface material that has both flexibility and hardness was obtained. This is what we do.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below based on the drawings. The illustrated surface material has a resin layer 3 interposed and bonded between two urethane foam press sheets 1 and 2 with skins. The urethane foam pressed sheets 1 and 2 are formed by heat pressing urethane foam, and have little cushioning properties but flexibility. Here, as the urethane foam, a filler-blended foam or a resin-blended foam can be used to improve adhesiveness, flexibility, and hardness. For example, urethane foam can be made hard by incorporating calcium carbonate, silica, clay, or the like as a filler. Also, by blending rubber, the urethane foam can be made flexible. These fillers and resins are usually added in an amount of 10 to 150 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the urethane foam, although they vary depending on the type.
Further, the layer thickness of the urethane foam press sheets 1 and 2 is arbitrary depending on the desired hardness of the surface material, but is generally about 0.5 to 5 mm.

On the other hand, the resin layer 3 interposed and bonded between the urethane foam press sheets 1 and 2 has a hard surface material, and is made of, for example, styrene, ethylene, acrylic, or polycarbonate resin. The thickness of the resin layer 3 can be arbitrarily selected depending on the desired hardness of the surface material, but is generally about 1 to 10 mm.

Apply the resin dissolved in a solvent to one or both of the two urethane foam sheets, and immediately
The sheets are put together, heated at about 150 to 200°C, and simultaneously press-formed. This operation collapses the air bubbles in the urethane foam sheet to form a urethane foam press sheet, and at the same time, the solvent is removed to form a resin layer. This resin layer 3 forms an impregnated layer on the urethane foam sheets 1 and 2, and is strongly adhered to the urethane foam sheets 1 and 2.

Next, the sheet is cooled with water as necessary to prevent deformation, and the pressing force of the hot press is gradually reduced to take out the sheet.

The surface material thus obtained has both the flexibility of urethane and the hardness of resin, and also has strong adhesion between each layer. Therefore, it is suitable for flooring materials, ground coats, etc. Also, since the surface is made of a soft urethane foam press sheet,
There is no risk of injury if you fall. Furthermore, by blending an appropriate amount of filler or resin into the urethane foam, the hardness can be adjusted as desired. Furthermore, if pigments are added to the urethane foam, it can be colored freely and the product value can be increased.
