Although the enzymes formulated in liquid detergents are mostly Bacillus proteases, the prior art also uses enzymes other than Bacillus proteases, such as other enzyme types (e.g. amylases, lipases and cellulases) as well as enzymes of non-Bacillus origin (e.g. fungal enzyme)
It is also known that formulations of The main problem encountered with such compositions is that of ensuring sufficient storage stability of the enzymes in such compositions.

That is, many commonly used detergent ingredients, such as anionic surfactants and detergent builders, reduce detergent stability. The prior art also recognizes that various substances without detersive activity may be formulated as enzyme stabilizers.

Although enzyme stability is better in builder-containing compositions, it is desirable to include a builder for improved detergency; the built compositions typically have about 1 to 40 % builders such as zeolites, phosphates, phosphonates, citrates, NTA.
