Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an LED array, through which desired illuminance distribution can be realized extremely easily, by installing a flexible board, on which a plurality of LED pellets and LED lamps are arrayed, to a mounting in which high and low sections are formed. CONSTITUTION:A flexible board 1 on which a plurality of LED pellets and LED lamps 2 are arrayed is set up to a mounting 3 to which high and low sections are shaped. Consequently, the lamps 2 are lit selectively through wirings fitted to the substrate 1, and light emitted from the lamps 2 is projected directly to a lens 4 or reflected by the outer frame 3, and projected to the lens 4 and radiated to the outside of the lens 4. These emitted light is changed into directivity by the outer frame 3, and spread is inhibited. Accordingly, desired illuminance distribution can be realized extremely easily.

(Prior Art) Recently, light emitting diodes (hereinafter referred to as LEDs) have been used as a light source for reading originals in the transmitting section of facsimile machines, and as a light source for neutralizing electricity to remove the electric charge accumulated on the photosensitive drum of electronic copying machines.
A play in which a large number of bullets are arranged has been used. In this LED play, a plurality of LED pellets linearly arranged on a substrate are surrounded by an outer frame, and an opening of the outer frame is provided with a lens for optical imaging.

The conventional LED array has a rigid substrate made of a printed wiring board such as a Bakelite board, and the illuminance of an LED array in which LEDs are arranged at equal intervals varies at the edges as shown by the solid line (line A) in Figure 2. There is a problem that the illuminance in the area decreases. For this reason, it is necessary to make the array spacing at the ends of the LED pellets formed on the board narrower than at the center, but in such a case, there are problems such as bonding the LEDs to the board becomes troublesome, complicated, and expensive. Ta.

(Function) The light emitting diode array of the present invention has a structure in which a flexible substrate on which light emitting diode pellets or light emitting diode lamps are arranged as described above is attached to a substrate mounting body having a raised and lowered portion. Therefore, since the flexible substrate on which the light emitting diode pellets and the like are arrayed is attached to a substrate mounting body with raised and lowered parts, the illuminance distribution of the emitted light becomes flat over the entire length of the array.
