BACKGROUND ART Wireless selective call receivers (hereinafter referred to as receivers) such as pagers must be connected to power all day long in order to receive calls. However, in this case, power consumption increases, which is inconvenient. Therefore, by periodically connecting and disconnecting the receiver's power, it is possible to connect the power and receive individual call signals only when there is a possibility of a call, thereby extending the life of the battery built into the receiver. There is a way to do it. With this method, when measuring the sensitivity of the receiver, it cannot be measured while the power is off, and it takes time to measure. A method has been proposed in which the power of the receiver is continuously connected using a control signal that cannot be distinguished from the selective calling signal applied by the channel, thereby shortening the time required to measure sensitivity and the like. However, even if such a receiver is used, it is not possible to determine whether or not the receiver can be called in actual use.

The present invention provides a receiver using the above-mentioned receiving method,
logically processing the reception state of the synchronization signal received by continuously connecting the power source of the receiver with a control signal that can be distinguished from the selective call signal to determine whether or not the individual selection signal can be discriminated; It is an object of the present invention to provide a selective call receiver that can display information on the receiver.

FIG. 2 shows the structure of the calling signal output from the transmitter, and as shown in FIG. 2, one frame consists of, for example, 15 groups. One group is composed of a bit synchronization signal, a frame synchronization signal, a group designation signal, and a selective call signal, as shown in FIG.

Next, the operation of the above embodiment will be explained. now,
When the switch 12 is OFF, the generator 5 generates a release signal to operate the controller 7. Therefore, the power supply control section 11 intermittently sends power to the receiving section 2 at regular intervals and causes the receiving section 2 to perform the receiving operation intermittently. Now, when the synchronization signal of the group to which it belongs is added, the matching section 3 detects that signal, and the control section 7
The power control section 11 continuously supplies power to the reception section 2. Next, the collation unit 4 determines whether the selective call signal received by the receiving unit 2 is your own, and if it is your own, controls the sound generating unit 8 to generate a sound through the speaker 10. occurs.

Next, when the switch 12 is turned on, a setting signal is sent from the generator 5 to the controller 7, which controls the power supply controller 11 to continuously supply power to the receiver 2. Further, the setting signal is sent to the determining section 6, and the determining section 6 is operated for an arbitrary period until the next cancellation signal is sent.

Further, the collation unit 3 collates the synchronization signals fixed for each group among the signals received by the reception unit 2, and if they match, the result is sent to the determination unit 6. It also measures the code error rate of the fixed synchronization signal for each group, and sends the result to the determination section 6. The determination unit 6 counts the number of times the verification unit 3 has correctly verified the field, determines whether or not the electric field can be called, and displays the determination result on the display unit 9.

As shown in Figure 2, the same synchronization signal is included in groups other than the group with the selective call signal of one receiver, so it can be transmitted in a short time and without the need for a special transmission signal. It can be determined whether the area is a callable area or not.

Next, when the switch 12 is turned off, a release signal is generated from the generator 5, and intermittent reception is performed again.
