Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a stable liquid detergent composite causing no phase separation even when stored for a long period by further containing an electrolyte in the aqueous composition containing respective specified quantities or more of a non-soap synthetic surfactant and soap.
CONSTITUTION: In an aqueous detergent composition containing 7.0wt.% or more of a non-soap synthetic surfactant and 5.0wt.% or more of soap, an electrolyte (e.g.; Na2SO4, NaCl) of a quantity sufficient for forming a lamella phase having solid suspending performance by the soap and the non-soap synthetic surfactant, preferably, 1 wt.% or more, is contained, preferably, with an inorganic builder (e.g.; sodium tripolyphosphate) being constituted as a part or all of the electrolyte to regulate pH, whereby a composite with a pH less than 12.0 which shows only 2% by capacity or less of phase separation after storage at 25°C for 21 days is provided.

One or more surfactants, typically soap or non-soap synthetic surfactants, are included in the detergent compositions described above. Soap has multiple functions,
It is a particularly useful substance that can be used as a detergent active, as a builder and as a fabric softener. Therefore, it is highly desirable to prepare liquid detergents containing relatively large amounts of soap. For isotropic liquids containing little or no inorganic builders, it is relatively easy to increase the soap content. However, it is very difficult to incorporate a large amount of soap into the above-mentioned aqueous structural liquid.

In addition, these compositions are unstable and lose 2% by volume when stored at 25°C for 21 days.
In addition to causing the above-mentioned phase separation, it is also difficult to pour out due to its high viscosity.

It is very surprising that a stable and pourable lamellar structured liquid can be prepared using the amounts of soap and other ingredients as defined in the present invention. To the best of the applicant's knowledge, there has been no example of successful preparation of a composition that satisfies the qualitative and quantitative requirements described in F.
