外周部から内周部に向けて排気ガスを流すと共に
メタル担体の内周部から流出する排気ガスの流れ
の向きをメタル担体内の流れに対してほぼ直角方
向に変えるケーシングに収納し、前記波板の波に
沿つて形成され排気ガスが通過するメタル担体の
セルの流路断面積を、上流側にいくにしたがつて
徐々に大としたことを特徴とする触媒コンバータ
