(Prior art) Air ducts and cases used in air conditioners are connected by fitting a convex part formed in one air duct or case into a concave part formed in the other air duct or case. In order to prevent water and air leakage from the fitting part, conventionally, as shown in FIG. Paste this convex part B and concave part C

(Problem that the invention attempts to solve) However, the sealant A attached to the convex part B has a restoring effect, and the sealant A is attached to the convex part B.
The problem was that if the parts were to peel off and the parts were to be refitted as is, the airtightness of that part would deteriorate. Therefore, the purpose of this invention is to suppress the restoring force of the sealing material, prevent the sealing material from peeling off from the convex portion, and provide a sealing material for the fitting portion that can provide a reliable sealing effect. .

(Means for solving the problem) However, the gist of this invention is that the recess formed in one of the air ducts or the case,
In the sealing material interposed between the other air duct or the convex part that fits into the recessed part formed in the case, the sealing material has a skin-like layer 14 formed on at least one side and has a shape that can be bent as desired. The thickness is partially reduced at the position opposite to the bending side to provide a low-rigidity part 15 having low bending rigidity.

(Function) Therefore, the sealing material bent at the low-rigidity part with low bending rigidity has a small restoring effect and there is no risk of it peeling off if it is attached to the convex part, so the sealing material will not bend when the convex part and the concave part fit together. The above purpose can be achieved with reliable interposition and complete airtightness.

1 and 2, for example, an evaporator unit 1 of an automobile air conditioner and an air duct 2 attached to the evaporator unit 1 are shown. The evaporator unit 1 has a case 3 made of synthetic resin material.
An air inlet 4 is formed on the windward side and an air outlet 5 is formed on the leeward side, and an evaporator 6 for cooling, for example, is housed in the case 3, and the air introduced from the air inlet 4 is passed through the evaporator 6. After being cooled, it is sent out from the air outlet to other equipment (not shown). The air inlet 4 is formed by cutting out the side wall surface of the case 3, and a recess 8 having a U-shaped cross section and forming a part of the fitting part 7 is formed at its periphery. On the other hand, the air duct 2 includes a duct main body 9 having a rectangular cross section, and a bulging portion 10 whose wall surface is enlarged to match the size of the air inlet 4 at the end thereof.
A collar 11 is formed around the entire circumference of the bulging portion 10, and a fitting portion 7 is formed in the center of the collar 11.
A convex portion 12 is formed which fits into the concave portion 8 which becomes a part of the convex portion. A sealing material 13 described below is provided on the surface of this convex portion 12.

As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the sealing material 13 is made of a band-shaped urethane foam, for example, and has a skin-like layer 14 formed by shrinking the urethane foam by heat pressing on its surface. A low-rigidity portion 15 is formed in the center of the surface by further compressing the urethane foam to make it thinner and forming a groove in the longitudinal direction of the sealing material 13. Therefore, the surface of the skin-like layer 14 has a fine structure that does not allow water to penetrate, and the low-rigidity portion 15 has lower bending rigidity than other portions. The low-rigidity portion 15 of this sealing material 13 is bent so that the skin-like layer 14 is on the outside, and the sealing material 13 is pasted around the convex portion 12 of the air duct 2 with an adhesive.

In the above configuration, the low rigidity portion 1 of the sealing material 13
If the sealing material 13 is bent and attached to the convex part 12 of the air duct 2, the sealing material 13 will have a weak effect of restoring to the state before being bent because the low rigidity part 15 has low bending rigidity, and will peel off from the convex part 12. There is no risk of it happening. As a result, when the convex part 12 of the air duct 2 is fitted into the concave part 8 of the case 1, the sealing material 13 is reliably pushed into the concave part 8, and a highly airtight seal is formed in the fitting part 7 of the case 1 and the air duct 2. The state is obtained. Note that the skin-like layer 14 formed on the sealing material 13 means that the surface of the sealing material 13 is waterproofed, so that the sealing material 1
3 and water leakage from the fitting portion 7 can be prevented at the same time.

5 and 6 show another embodiment of this invention, in which the sealing material 13 has a groove-shaped low-rigidity portion 15a' in the longitudinal direction of the sealing material 13, and a groove-shaped low-rigidity portion 15a' in the transverse direction. A plurality of low-rigidity parts 15b' are formed so that the sealing material 13 can be easily attached to the R-shaped convex part 12'. That is, if the sealing material 13 is attached so that the low-rigidity portion 15b' in the transverse direction is inside the R-shaped convex portion 12', the compressive force is relaxed by the low-rigidity portion 15b', and the sealing material 13 is prevented from peeling off from the inner wall surface of the convex portion 12'.

(Effects of the invention) As described above, according to this invention, the sealing material bent at the low-rigidity portion with low bending rigidity is attached to the convex portion formed in the fitting portion of the air conditioner. There is no risk of the sealing material peeling off from the convex part,
This ensures that the seal is interposed within the fitting portion, resulting in a seal structure with good airtightness.

In addition, since the sealing material is formed using heat press,
A skin-like layer is formed on the surface of the sealing material to prevent moisture from penetrating into the sealing material.
