In a disc valve type faucet, a faucet body is provided with a plate-shaped fixed valve plate and a movable valve plate, and the movable valve plate is slid into contact with a handle to open and close a fluid flow path. An annular packing is clamped between the opposing opening peripheral edges of the passage opening of the fixed valve plate and the passage opening of the fixed valve plate, and the annular packing has an annular lip extending toward the center from both ends of the inner circumference and outward from the end surface. A disc valve type faucet, characterized in that the lip portion is integrally provided in a protruding manner, and the lip portion is brought into close contact with the periphery of the opening edges of both the flow passage openings to form a seal.
