On the other hand, wiring for low electrical power such as telephone and information wiring generally requires a protective tube to protect the wires, and normally an electrician installs the protective tube for the information wires in advance. However, a method is to install a wiring box at the desired position from which the wires are drawn out, connect a protective tube to it, and then have a specialist other than an electrician insert the wires into the protective tube and wire the wires at a later date. It will be done. This is called advance piping for information cables, etc. When such preliminary piping is performed, a corrugated flexible tube is often used as the protection tube, as it has excellent flexibility and is suitable for piping in places with many bends.

Since the corrugated flexible tube cannot be connected to the general heavy-duty (cable wiring) wiring box (with knockout 2', etc.) 1 shown in Figure 1, it is shown in Figures 2 and 3. It is connected to a wiring box 3 with a hub dedicated to connecting the protection tube as shown. As shown in the figure, this wiring box 3 is
Two wiring openings 4 are provided on each side, and a hub 5 for connecting a corrugated flexible tube is installed outside each opening 4. A recess 5a extending along the axial direction is provided on the inner circumferential surface of the hub 5, and a groove 5b is provided at the back of the recess 5a. For connecting the corrugated flexible tube, as shown in FIG.
A locking tool 6 is used which has a protrusion 6a fitted into the corrugated flexible tube 7 on one end of its outer surface and a protrusion 6b fitted into the recess (groove) 7a of the corrugated flexible tube 7 on its inner surface. Using this locking device 6, the corrugated flexible tube 7 is connected to the box 3, for example, in the following manner. That is, after the locking tool 6 is placed on the corrugated flexible tube 7 so that the protrusion 6b is fitted into the recess 7a, the locking tool 6 is inserted into the recess 5a and the corrugated flexible tube is placed. 7 into the hub 5, and the protrusion 6a of the locking tool is fitted into the groove 5b of the hub. Then, the locking tool 6 will not come off from the hub 5, and the corrugated flexible tube 7 will also not come out of the locking tool 6.
It is locked and cannot be removed from the hub 5.

As mentioned above, electrical wiring work for a single house requires:
It was necessary to prepare two types of wiring boxes: one for heavy electrical power (for cable wiring) and one with a hub. Currently, on average, about 40 switchboxes for heavy-duty electricity are used per household.
The number of wiring boxes for light electricity is small, as only two to three switch boxes for light electricity are used. Despite this, it was extremely troublesome to have to prepare a wiring box with a hub for light electricity in addition to a wiring box for heavy electricity. Also,
If it becomes necessary to add an information line at a later date and you want to connect the information line to an existing wiring box, but if the existing wiring box is generally for heavy electric power, you will have to replace it with one with a hub. There was a problem.

4 to 7 show various embodiments of the corrugated flexible pipe joint according to the invention, and FIG.
The two locking portions shown in the figures, and FIG. 9 and FIG. 7 shown in FIG. 7, are shown together. As shown in the figure, each of these joints 8 locks a semi-cylindrical corrugated flexible tube whose cylinder body is divided into two on both sides of an annular corrugated flexible tube insertion port 9. Part 10,
10 are rotatably connected by hinge portions 11, respectively. Here, since the entire joint is made of a flexible material such as synthetic resin, the locking part 1 is connected to the insertion port 9 by the hinge part 11 made of a thin piece.
0 can be rotated freely. A protrusion 12 is provided on the inner peripheral surface of both the locking parts 10, 10 to be inserted into the recess of the corrugated flexible tube.
A groove 13 into which the edge of the wiring opening of the wiring box is fitted is provided at the tip of the outer peripheral surface. Here, the bottom of the groove 13 is adapted to fit exactly against the end face of the wiring opening. However, it does not necessarily have to be this way. Both end surfaces of the locking part 10 are tapered surfaces, and as shown in FIG. 8 or 9, both the locking parts 10, 10
When they are combined, a gap 14 is formed between the two, which becomes wider as it goes further. Furthermore, in the embodiments of FIGS. 5 and 7, the locking portion 1
0, and in the embodiments of FIGS. 4 and 6, the locking part 1 of the socket 9
A protrusion 15 is provided on the surface facing 0.

Using these joints, the corrugated flexible tube 7 is connected to the heavy electrical wiring box 1 as shown in FIG. 10 or 11. First, pull out the knockout 2' of the wiring box 1, then align both locking parts 10, 10 of the joint, insert the tips of both into the wiring opening 2 of the wiring box 1, and insert the opening 2 into the groove 13 of both. Insert the edges of the In each of the embodiments described above, both end surfaces of both the locking portions 10, 10 are tapered surfaces, so that the shape of the tip portion of the cylinder body formed by combining both the locking portions can be made small. Therefore, the tips of both the locking parts 10, 10 can be easily inserted into the opening 2. Further, if the hinge portion 11 is made of an elastic material such as synthetic resin, both the locking portions 10, 10 tend to expand due to the elasticity of the hinge portion 11. Furthermore, in the joint of this invention, in addition,
Since the protruding parts 15 are provided on the surface of the locking part 10 facing the insertion port 9 or the surface of the insertion port facing the locking part, these protrusions 15 will prevent the locking parts from collapsing when the two locking parts are brought together. It enters between the insertion port and the locking part and generates strong elasticity that tends to widen the distance between the two locking parts 10, 10. Therefore, the edge of the opening 2 strongly bites into the grooves 13, 13 of both locking portions, improving the fitting and fixing strength of the joint, thereby eliminating the possibility that the joint 8 will come off from the wiring box 1 due to vibration or the like. Next, the corrugated flexible tube 7 is inserted through the insertion port 9, and the protrusions 1 of both locking portions are inserted into the recesses 7a of the corrugated flexible tube 7.
Make 2 bite. Then, the corrugated flexible tube 7 is locked to the joint 8. In addition, by inserting the tip of the corrugated flexible tube 7 deep into the joint 8, both locking portions 1
The tips of 0 and 10 are widened, and the edges of the opening 2 bite into the grooves 13 of both locking parts more strongly, and the joint 8 is firmly fixed to the wiring box 1.

Next, the inclination of the joint body will be explained. That is, in the embodiment shown in FIG. 4, the joint body is straight, as shown in FIG. 8. The same applies to the embodiment shown in FIG. On the other hand, in the embodiment shown in FIG. 7, the two locking portions 10, 10 are bent so that the joint body formed by combining them has a substantially doglegged shape as shown in FIG. The same applies to the embodiment shown in FIG. Therefore, when these are used, the central axis B of the flexible tube insertion part of the joint is inclined at an angle θ with respect to the central axis A of the opening 2 of the switchbox 1, as shown in FIG. It's getting old. Therefore, the flexible tube 7 inserted into the joint is inclined at an angle .theta. to the pillar or the like on which the switchbox 1 is attached. Therefore, when a corrugated tube is connected to a box with a hub dedicated to the protection tube as in the conventional example shown in Fig. 12, when the corrugated tube is fixed to a pillar with a saddle etc.
There was a problem that it was necessary to bend the flexible tube into a shape, which made wiring work in narrow spaces such as houses extremely difficult, especially when the diameter of the flexible tube was large. If such a doglegged joint is used, there is no need to bend the flexible tube 7 into an S-shape, and the first
As shown in Figure 1, by simply bending the joint at one point, it can be placed along a pillar, etc., and the flexible tube can be easily fixed with a saddle, etc. In addition, since the outer periphery of the groove 13 of the joint is circular to match the opening 2, the joint can be rotated to any desired position.
After inserting the flexible tube 7 at a position where it is easy to insert, it is also possible to rotate the joint and align the flexible tube 7 along a pillar or the like.

Furthermore, only one type of wiring box for heavy electrical power needs to be used, making wiring box procurement and inventory management easier. In addition, since wiring boxes with hubs are used in small quantities, they cannot be mass-produced, and they are extremely expensive, 3 to 4 times as expensive as knock-out type wiring boxes for heavy electricity. The cost of wiring work was becoming high. However, by using the joint according to this invention, it has become possible to reduce the cost of wiring work for light electric power by using an inexpensive knock-out type wiring box for heavy electric power. Furthermore, even if new wiring for low power is required, it is now possible to use existing wiring boxes for high power.
