としてのウエザーカバは、壁体Wを貫いて屋外に
横向きに突き出させた給気と排気を同時に行う空
調換気扇等の給気路と排気路とを構成するダクト
1の屋外開口端2に接続し、実質的なダクト1の
屋外開口端を形成する接続口部材3と、接続口部
材3の開口端側を収め込カツプ形の防雨キヤツプ
4とを主体として構成されている。接続口部材3
は、ダクト1の屋外呈出部分の外周面に形成され
たねじ部にねじ嵌合によつて接続される、内周面
にねじ部を形成した接続筒部5の一端側に半径方
向に張り出す防雨用のフランジ6を一体形成し
た、両端の開口した筒体である。防雨キヤツプ4
は、一端の閉塞したカツプ形の筒体で、その胴部
の開放端側は全周についてメツシユ7で構成され
ている。この防雨キヤツプ4の内径は、接続口部
材3のフランジ6の外径より大きく、ダクト1に
接続した接続口部材3の外まわりを、間隔を保つ
て蓋状に覆うことができる。防雨キヤツプ4の支
持は、ダクト1の外周に嵌め装着され、接続筒部
5の端面によつて壁体Wの外表面に押え付けられ
る固定板8から突き出す対向する二本の取付脚9
によつて行なわれる。すなわち、取付脚9の自由
端にはねじ孔をもつ平面部10が形成されてい
て、防雨キヤツプ4の閉塞端面4Aに形成された
ねじ挿通孔からねじ11を取付脚9のねじ孔に通
して締結することによつて、内面が接続口部材3
に接触しない中立位置に防雨キヤツプ4が支持さ
れるのである。固定板8の取付脚9に支持された
防雨キツプ4は、メツシユ7の自由端が壁体Wの
外表面に当接し、接続口部材3のフランジ6の全
部と、接続筒部5の一部とをそのメツシユ7でな
い胴部内に収め込んでいる。また、接続口部材3
のフランジ6側の開口端と防雨キヤツプ4の閉塞
端面4Aとは十分な間隔をもつて対向していて、
フランジ6側の開口端は、防雨キヤツプ4のメツ
シユ7で形成された通気部において外部と連絡し
