Abstract

PURPOSE:To make an external appearance excellent and to improve the operability of connection of a refrigerant piping by a method wherein a connecting part of the refrigerant piping is accommodated in a cut part of an outdoor unit case and a water droplet of dew formed on the connecting part of the refrigerant piping is discharged onto the outdoor unit side by a water droplet discharging means provided inside a cover. CONSTITUTION:When an outdoor unit 1 starts a cooling operation, a cooled refrigerant flows through a refrigerant piping, a stop valve 11 is cooled down thereby and dew condensation occurs thereon. A water droplet formed by the dew condensation drops into a conduit part 16 provided integrally with a cover 13 and discharged onto a bed plate 9 of the outdoor unit 1. When the refrigerant piping is connected to the outdoor unit 1, the cover 13 is removed from an outdoor unit case 21, a cut part 15 is opened and connection of the piping is conducted by using a flare nut 12 of the stop valve 11. Since the out part 15 is opened completely when the cover 13 is removed, an operation of connecting the refrigerant piping from below can be performed very simply. After the connection of the refrigerant piping is completed, the cover 13 is fitted to the outdoor unit case 21.

In the above configuration, the outdoor unit 1 has a compressor 7
The refrigerant is sent to the heat exchanger 6 by the operation of the fan 5, and is cooled by heat radiation by the operation of the blower 5.The refrigerant cooled by the pressure reducing device in the outdoor unit is sent to the indoor unit (not shown) through the stop valve 11, and The room is cooled by operating the unit. For this reason, the stop valve is cooled and condenses, and the water droplets fall. Also, connect the refrigerant piping from the indoor unit (not shown) to the outdoor unit 1.
When connecting to the stop valve 11, the flare nut 12 of the stop valve 11 is removed, the refrigerant pipe is passed through, the tip of the refrigerant pipe is flared, and the flare nut 12 is tightened to the stop valve 11 to connect the refrigerant pipe to the outdoor unit 1.

Since the conventional outdoor unit is configured as described above, especially when the outdoor unit is used by hanging it from the ceiling, the stop valve should be covered with an insulating material to prevent water droplets from falling due to condensation from the stop valve part. There was a problem in that the connection part of the refrigerant pipe was exposed and the appearance was seriously damaged. In addition, if the base plate of the outdoor unit is extended below the stop valve to prevent water droplets from falling due to condensation, the stop valve 1
However, there was a drawback that the tightening workability of the flare nut 12 was significantly hindered.

When the outdoor unit 1 starts cooling operation, the cooled refrigerant flows into the refrigerant pipe, and the stop valve 11 is cooled and condenses. The water droplets generated by this condensation are removed from the cover 13.
The water droplets fall onto a wire portion 16 which is a water droplet discharge means provided integrally with the water droplet, and are discharged onto the base plate 9 of the outdoor unit 1. Also,
When connecting the refrigerant piping to the outdoor unit 1, first,
Remove the cover 13 with the seed portion 16 from the outdoor unit case 21, open the notch 15, and open the notch 1.
Using the flare nut 12 of the stop valve 11 disposed in the refrigerant pipe 5, the refrigerant piping is connected in the same manner as in the conventional example. When removing the cover 13, the notch 15 is completely opened, so when tightening the flare nut 12 to attach the refrigerant pipe to the stop valve 11, you can easily use a spanner to connect the refrigerant pipe from below. Connection work is very easy. After completing the connection of the refrigerant pipes, the cover 13 having the wire portion 16 is attached to the outdoor unit case 21, and the entire work is completed.

As explained above, according to the present invention, the connection part of the refrigerant pipe is housed in the cutout of the outdoor unit case of the air conditioner, so the connection part of the refrigerant pipe is covered by the cover of the cutout, so that it cannot be accessed from the outside. It is shielded and looks better. Also,
Since the water droplets of condensation generated at the connection portion of the refrigerant pipe are discharged to the outdoor unit side by the water droplet discharge means provided inside the cover, leakage of the dew droplets to the outside is completely eliminated.

Furthermore, since the cover of the notch has a shape that follows the outer shape of the outdoor unit case and covers the notch, the exterior of the outdoor unit can be made very good. In addition, when the cover of the notch is removed, the connecting portion of the refrigerant piping is completely exposed, which improves the workability of connecting the refrigerant piping.
