容器1中に端板2を配設し、一方センターパイプ
3の周りに二つ折りした紙4を折り目を上にし
てスパイラルに巻付け、下縁の隣接する部分を接
着して過エレメントeとなし、これを上方から
容器1中に挿入してセンターパイプ3の下端を端
板2の内周縁に嵌めて起立させ、容器1の開口端
には中心に取出しパイプ9を取付けるねじを持ち
その周囲に複数の取入れ小孔5aを有する肉厚な
シートプレート5とこれを容器1にかしめ付ける
カバープレート6が施され、また、容器1の底壁
中央の開口部下面には肉厚なねじ付きボス7が突
き合せ状態にろう付けされ、そのボス7には分離
された水の水位検出センサーSとコツク8aを取
付けた閉塞栓8がねじ込まれている。

(考案が解決しようとする課題) 従来の燃料フイルタは、濾過エレメントeが容
器1内に、取り替えできないように配設された使
い捨て型のものであり、かつ濾過エレメントeが
上記のような、いわゆるロールタイプのものであ
るから、次のような問題が生じる。すなわち、ロ
ールタイプの濾過エレメントeは、流体が一方端
から他方端側に向け流れるものであるから、その
流出側端に大きな流体圧が作用する。そのため流
出側端に大きな流体圧が作用する。そのため濾過
エレメントeは、下流側に向け移動する傾向にあ
る。他方、濾過エレメントeは、その内外周をセ
ンターパイプ13外周および容器1内周と液密に
シールする必要があるが、このような移動が生じ
ると、シール性を悪化させてしまうことになるの
である。しかも、使い捨て型のものでは、濾過エ
レメントeの状態を外部からコントロールできな
いから、濾過エレメントeを容器内で所定状態に
長時間、保持することはきわめて困難となる。

aと、この内側からほぼ容器11の中央部まで起
立し周囲に複数の幅広な長孔12dを設けた脚筒
部12bと、その上端にあつて水平に横に広がり
外径が容器11の内径にほぼ一致し内周部12e
が若干円錐状に突出した環状多孔の端板12cと
が一体に形成されていて、その端板12cの上に
は、前記のようにセンターパイプ13の周囲に二
つ折りした紙14を折り目を上にしてスパイラ
ルに巻付け、下縁の隣接部分を接着した過エレ
メントeがセンターパイプ13の下端を端板の内
周部12eに嵌合して載置され、容器11の開口
