However, with the recent increase in high-rise housing and the development of underground shopping malls, opportunities for three-dimensional transportation of heavy objects have increased, and conventional handcarts have become almost useless. In other words, the development of a handcart that can be easily carried up and down stairs has become an urgent matter.

This invention was made in response to such demands, and provides a handcart that can be transported on a horizontal surface as smoothly as a conventional handcart, and can also be easily moved up and down stairs. To this end, a total of 8 large wheels of approximately equal diameter, 4 on each side of the left and right sides, are arranged on the underside of the car body, and the 4 large wheels on the center side of the car body are placed on the bottom of the car body. It is placed at a slightly lower position than the other four large wheels on the front and rear ends of the vehicle, and one endless crawler track on each left and right is placed over each of the four large wheels. A plurality of small wheels are arranged between the wheels at a position where they can be rotated while being included in the crawler track, and a frame-shaped handle is provided at the rear end of the vehicle body so that it can be raised or lowered or can be attached and removed, and a direction It has a protruding tread for conversion.

Next, an embodiment of the handcart according to this invention will be described in detail. In FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, a vehicle body 1 has a total of eight large wheels 2a, 2b of approximately equal diameter arranged on the lower surface of the vehicle body, four on both left and right sides. The four large wheels 2a located at the center of the vehicle body 1 are arranged at a position slightly lower than the four large wheels 2b located at the front and rear ends of the vehicle body 1 by a slight dimension d. One endless track 3 and 4 is spanned over each of the four large wheels on the left side and the four large wheels on the right side of the vehicle body, and a plurality of endless tracks 3 and 4 are spanned between the large wheels in each row of left and right. small wheels 5 are arranged. Each of the small wheels 5 is attached to a position where it is included in the endless crawler belt 3 or 4 and rotated. An example of the details is shown in FIG. 7
1 is a side plate of the vehicle body 1, and a long hole 8 is formed in the lower end 6 of the side plate 7, into which an axle 9 is fastened so as to be able to adjust its vertical position.

Reference numeral 10 denotes a frame-shaped handle, which is detachably provided at the rear end of the vehicle body 1. 11 connects the handle 10 to the sheath 1
This is a screw that is attached to 2 and tightened.
Further, an example in which the handle is provided on the vehicle body so that it can be raised and lowered is shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. In the figure, a bolt 14 is screwed into the handle 13.
The bolt 14 is inserted so as to pass through the groove 15. When the handle 13 inserted into the sheath 16 is pulled upward, the bolt 14 reaches the upper end of the groove 15 and at the same time the lower end of the handle 13 is pulled out of the sheath 16.
The handle 13 is completely removed from the handle and becomes free, and in this state the handle 13 can be lowered onto the vehicle body using the bolt 14 as the center of rotation.

Reference numeral 17 denotes a step board for changing direction, which is protruded from the rear end of the vehicle body 1. In cases where it is necessary to change the direction of the vehicle body 1, it becomes necessary to change the direction of the vehicle body 1, particularly at a landing provided in the middle of a staircase for going up and down. The key to changing direction is to first step on the footboard 17,
Normally, the handcart is supported by four large wheels 2a at the center via an endless crawler, but the two large wheels 2b at the rear end (closer to the treadle 17) support the endless crawler. By being in this state, it is extremely easy to change the direction of the vehicle body by operating the steering wheel.

Reference numeral 18 denotes an auxiliary plate which supports the axle 19 of each large wheel in cooperation with the side plate 7. Balls 20 are loaded on the axle 19 and the rolling surface of the large wheel, and a spacing plate 21 is interposed between the side plate 7 or the auxiliary plate 18 to reduce frictional resistance during rolling.

The operation of the proposed handcart having the above configuration will be explained. As it is easy to understand that movement on a horizontal plane can be carried out in the same way as with a conventional handcart, the explanation will be omitted. When pushing this toward the stairs, both endless crawlers 3 and 4 have their back surfaces supported by large wheels and small wheels at a fine pitch, and as a result have a protrusion of dimension d. Because it spans multiple corners of the stairs as a gentle curved surface that does not indent,
It allows you to freely move forward and backward with extremely little resistance, just as you would when pushing a vehicle forward on a flat surface. For the same reason, it goes without saying that the handcart of the present invention can be moved with extremely little resistance even on extremely uneven roads such as stone roads.

The handcart according to this invention is constructed as described above, and out of a total of eight large wheels, the four large wheels on the center side of the car body are slightly smaller than the other four large wheels on the front and rear ends of the car body. Placed in a low position, one endless crawler track on each side is placed over each of the four large wheels, and a plurality of small wheels are placed between the large wheels in each row on the left and right on the above crawler tracks. Since it is arranged in a position where it can be rotated in a contained manner, transportation on a horizontal surface can be carried out as smoothly as in a conventional handcart, and it can also be easily moved up and down stairs. In addition, since a treadle for changing direction is provided protruding from the rear end of the vehicle body, it is possible to change the direction of the vehicle body extremely easily, which has excellent effects that cannot be achieved with conventional handcarts.
