この考案を実施例に基づき具体的に説明すると

aのエンジン部5とカツターヘツド6間を連結し
ている動力伝達部における動力伝達軸を緩装した
外筒管7の一端部を軸支している。その際に軸受
部4の水平軸8において上下揺動自在に、垂直軸
9において左右揺動自在にそれぞれ前記外筒管7
を係止している。フレーム2の先端には左右方向
に水平に張り出した部材に所要の間隔で複数個の
位置決め固定子10を立設し、固定子10の相互
間には外筒管7に一体に外装した角筒11を挿脱
自在にしてカツターヘツド6の姿勢を所要に位置
決め保持するようにしている。すなわち、畔道等
の上面の草刈の場合は第2図に示すように中央部
の位置決め固定子10の相互間に角筒11を係止
する。なお、カツター13の回転は第2図におい
て反時針方向回転とする。次に畔道の左側面の草
刈の場合は次のように操作する。すなわち、第2
図の状態から外筒管7を持ち上げると草刈機本体
aの外筒管7は水平軸8を中心に上方へ揺動す
る。その状態で外筒管7の接手部12において動
力伝達軸の軸心を中心にカツターヘツド6を第3
図に示すようにカツター13がアツパーカツトに
なるように右回転し、所要の回動位置で左部に立
設した位置決め固定子10の相互間に角筒11を
係止してカツターヘツド6の姿勢を固定する。こ
の状態でハンドル3を操作しながら往復すると、
先に左側面を草刈りしたものが復路ではそのまま
で右側面を草刈りすることとなり、平面の草刈作
業と同様の楽な姿勢で左右の側面の草刈作業をす
