Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an electrode foil from easily breaking through a separator even on the starting end of winding of the electrode foil by a method wherein the cutting surface of the starting end of winding of the electrode foil is cut obliquely against longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION:A separator 9 is inserted into a bobbin 10, and after it has been idle-wound a little, electrode foil 5 and 6 are wound on the separator 9. When the electrode foil 5 and 6 are wound up, as obliquely cut parts 7 and 8 are provided at the tip part of the starting end of winding of the electrode foil 5 and 6, the foil tip part is slowly wound up along the obliquely cut parts 7 and 8 in such a manner that the whole amount of winding resistance in widthwise direction of the electrode foil 5 and 6 is not working on the separator 9 at one time when winding is started. As a result, the breaking through of the separator can be prevented. Also, as the winding resistance of the electrode foil 5 and 6 is reduced when their ending is started, the form of winding is easily stabilized, and a thin separator, which is easily broken, can be used.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Conventionally, this type of electrolytic capacitor has had a structure as shown in FIG. In Fig. 3, 1 is a capacitor element in which an anode foil IJ and a cathode foil 1b are wound into a cylindrical shape via a separator IC, 2 is an aluminum case that houses this capacitor element l, and 3 is an aluminum case 2 in which the capacitor element 1 is housed. 4 is a lead terminal connected to the capacitor element 1.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention In winding up the capacitor element 1 in such an electrolytic capacitor, as shown in FIGS. was cut perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and wound from both sides around the winding core through a separator, and due to the stiffness of the cut surface at the beginning of winding, it broke through the separator 1c, causing the electrolytic capacitor to break. There was a problem in that the characteristics (particularly the LC characteristics) were deteriorated.

With this configuration, when winding the electrode foil, the winding resistance of the electrode foil is reduced because the electrode foil is wound into the separator sequentially from the tip end face of the diagonally cut part, and the electrode foil obediently follows the curvature of the winding core. It is rolled up into a cylindrical shape, and the tip of the electrode foil does not break through the separator.

According to this embodiment, after the separator 9 is sandwiched between the winding cores 10 and wound slightly, the electrode foil 5.6 is wound around the separator 9 and the electrode foils 5 and 6 are wound up. , 6 has a diagonal cut portion 7.8 at the tip of each winding start.
Since the electrode foil 5. is provided at the beginning of winding, the electrode foil 5.
The entire winding resistance in the width direction of 6 acts on the separator 9 (and the extinction end portion is gradually wound up along the diagonal cut portion 7.8). Also, the electrode foil 5 at the beginning of winding
, 6 is reduced, the winding shape becomes more stable, and a thin separator 9 that is easily torn can be used.

Effects of the Invention As described above, according to the present invention, by providing a portion cut diagonally with respect to the longitudinal direction at the tip end of the electrode foil at the beginning of winding, the electrode foil is gradually wound into the separator from the portion with less electrode foil. The winding is carried out smoothly along the curvature of the small-diameter winding core, the separator is not easily torn, and the characteristics of the electrolytic capacitor are not deteriorated.
