Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate an auxiliary hydraulic device so as to facilitate the replacement of a shearing bucket by installing the fixing arm of the shearing bucket detachably to a swing arm through two shafts to which a standard bucket is installed and joining a movable arm to the end part of a bar of a hydraulic jack. CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic shovel is provided with a swing arm 2 controlled by a hydraulic jack, and a standard bucket 4 joined about a shaft 5 of the swing arm 2 is driven by an oscillating lever 6 joined to a shaft 7 and an end part 8 of a bar of the hydraulic jack 9. A fixing arm 10 of a shearing bucket 11 is installed to the swing arm 2 through the shafts 5 and 7 inserted into the holes at the rear part of the fixing arm 10, and the front part of the fixing arm is provided with a shearing blade 13 and a holding tooth 14 which are formed detachably on a shearing jaw. A movable arm is joined to the jack 9 through the shaft 8 at the rear end, provided with a shearing blade 16 and a holding tooth 17 which is detachably formed on a jaw opposed to the arm 10, and the replacement of buckets 4 and 11 is performed by the removal of three shafts 5, 7, and 8.

(Operation) The shear bucket is particularly simple in design. The reason is that the bucket consists of two arms attached to the end of the shovel's jib, similar to a standard bucket, and the shearing action is controlled by the detached bucket without any auxiliary hydraulic equipment. This is because Jack will test him directly.

Finally, the invention is obviously not limited only to the embodiment shown and described in detail, but is particularly open to variations as far as the shapes and dimensions of the fixed arm 10 and the movable arm 11 are concerned. The arms 10,11 can not only be placed on each side of the connecting shaft 12 as shown, but also intersect like a pair of scissors, the shear bucket being closed in this case by maximum retraction of the rod of the jack 9.

Furthermore, instead of a shearing blade with a single jaw as shown, it could be double, either upper or lower, and the other jaws, single as well, could be formed between the two parallel parts of the double jaw. It is also possible to step between the gaps.
