Prior Art and its Problems Conventionally, for curb stones that are arranged in succession along the boundary line of a pedestrian or roadway, for example, a curb stone 4 as shown in FIG. 1 has been provided. However, all of these are vertical walls of the rear surface portion 4A. Then, on the back side of this curb, there is a pavement surface 5 for the sidewalk, and
A roadway paved surface 6 is laid on the front side. However, water flows along with weed seeds from the so-called edging 7, which is the contact area between the paved surface 5 and the curb, and the water flows along the curb, blocking visibility and causing traffic obstruction, which is dangerous. Maintenance costs such as weed removal will increase. Also, the water that flows in freezes and thaws.
This is a freeze-thaw phenomenon unique to Hokkaido that causes the curbs to collapse.

A groove-shaped notch 3 in which a horizontal surface 3A and a vertical surface 3B are configured in an L-shape is provided at the corner where the back surface portion 2A and the top surface portion 2B of a curb body 2 connected to a boundary portion of a pedestrian or roadway etc. are in contact with each other. At the same time, a groove 3C having a V-shaped cross section is carved in the horizontal surface 3A in the longitudinal direction of the groove-shaped notch 3. Further, in this case, the groove 3C may have a substantially U-shaped or U-shaped cross section.

A pavement surface 5 for the sidewalk and a pavement surface 6 for the roadway are laid. In the present application, there is a cross section L between the paved surface 5 and the curb 1.
Since the shaped notch 3 is formed, even if water tries to flow in together with weed seeds from the so-called edge cut 7, this can be blocked by this part. In particular, since the groove 3C is formed in the notch 3 in the longitudinal direction, the above-mentioned inflow can be more reliably prevented. In addition, each curb becomes uneven when frost heaves and melts, but even in this case, it is possible to prevent seeds from entering along with water.
