Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the crushing of a catheter body at the time of insertion to a forceps plug or the buckling during the course of the insertion by providing a protective cylinder which is freely slidably fitted onto the part near the front end of the catheter body and prevents the deformation of the body against the pressure of the forceps plug. CONSTITUTION:While the part near the front end of the catheter body 2 is held covered by the protective cylinder 3, the catheter body 2 is press-fitted together with the protective cylinder 3 into tm slit of the forceps plug. A bulging part 6 and a small diameter part 7 can, therefore, be inserted into the channel of an endoscope without receiving the pressure of the forceps plug at the time when the catheter body 2 is passed into the slit of the forceps plug in this case. The crushing of the catheter body 2 by the forceps plug, the buckling of the small-diameter part 7, the jumping out of the precious fertilized eggs in the inside by the collapse of the bulging part 6, etc., are thereby surely prevented. Further, the buckling of the catheter body 2 during the course of the insertion is prevented as well.

This type of catheter is generally inserted endoscopically into a treated area such as the uterus. In this case, a channel is formed in the insertion portion of the endoscope into which a treatment tool such as forceps or a catheter is inserted. The distal end of this channel communicates with the opening for the treatment instrument at the distal end of the insertion section, and the proximal end opens into the channel opening of the operating section.

[Problem to be solved by the invention@] Incidentally, the human fallopian tube has a narrow lumen, and the opening to the uterine cavity (fallopian ostium) generally has a diameter of 1 m+m or less. Therefore, it goes without saying that it is desirable that catheters used for in vitro fertilization, egg transplantation, etc. have an outer diameter of 1 square inch or less.

However, when inserting a catheter into the fallopian tube under direct vision in combination with an endoscope, tubes with an outer diameter of 1 mm or less are too flexible and unsuitable for insertion into the channel of the endoscope. . That is, when inserting a catheter into a treatment instrument insertion channel of an endoscope, it is necessary to pass the catheter through a slit of a forceps plug attached to the opening of this channel.

When the treatment instrument is used, the distal end of the treatment instrument is press-fitted between the walls on both sides of the slit, and is guided into the channel while expanding between the walls on both sides against the elasticity of the slit. Therefore, when a flexible catheter with an outer diameter of 1 mm or less is press-fitted into the slit of a forceps plug, the elasticity of the slit compresses the catheter between both side walls of the slit, crushing the catheter and blocking the lumen of the catheter. There was a risk that the person would be attacked.

Furthermore, when inserting a catheter into the treatment instrument insertion channel of an endoscope, the insertion resistance of the catheter increases due to the pressure force between the both side walls of the slit of the forceps plug, so the catheter may become seated during insertion. There was a risk that he would succumb.

Next, the case where the catheter 1 having the above structure is used will be explained. Mature eggs collected from follicles in advance are artificially inseminated outside the body, cultured for a certain period of time, and then sucked and stored in the ampulla 6 of the catheter 1 together with a culture solution. Note that when injecting the egg into the catheter 1,
In advance, a culture solution is injected from the tip of the catheter 1, and then an egg is injected, and the egg is securely positioned on the tip side (ampulla 6) of the catheter 1 so that it can be sent into the fallopian tube 20. .

Next, CO2 gas is supplied to the uterine cavity 18 to facilitate observation of the inside of the cavity, and after confirming the fallopian tube opening 19 under direct vision, the catheter body 2 is inserted into the channel 12. When inserting this catheter 1, the protective tube 3 is slid in advance to a position that covers the enlarged portion 6 and the narrow diameter portion 7. Then, place the vicinity of the distal end of the catheter body 2 into the protection tube 3.
The catheter main body 2 and the protective tube 3 are press-fitted into the slit 17 of the forceps plug 16 while being covered by the protective tube 3.

Therefore, in this case, the catheter body 2 is attached to the forceps plug 16.
When passing through the slit 17 of the endoscope, the enlarged portion 6 and the narrow diameter portion 7 can be inserted into the channel 12 of the endoscope without being compressed by the forceps plug 16.
It is possible to reliably prevent the catheter body 2 from being crushed by the forceps plug 16, buckling the narrow diameter portion 7, or crushing the ampulla 6 and causing the precious fertilized egg inside to escape, as in the conventional case. can.

Furthermore, while the protective tube 3 is held in the slot 17 of the forceps plug 16 in a press-fitted state, the catheter body 2 is
is inserted into the channel 12 of the endoscope 10. In this case, since the catheter main body 2 passes through the inside of the protective tube 3, the catheter main body 2 is not subjected to pressure from the forceps plug 16. Therefore, the insertion resistance of the catheter main body 2 can be significantly reduced compared to the conventional one, so that it is possible to prevent the catheter main body 2 from buckling during insertion.

In this way, when the protective tube 3 is inserted into the forceps plug 16, the expansion gas can be prevented from escaping to the outside through the gap between the main body 2 and the protective tube 3, and when the fertilized egg is aspirated, the expansion gas can be prevented from escaping to the outside. Since the eggs are reliably accumulated in the ampullae 6, the eggs can be delivered at the initial stage of injection and can reach the deep part of the fallopian tube 20. Therefore, there is no backflow from the fallopian tube opening 19, and the egg descends into the uterus after it has grown sufficiently, so a reliable tube bed can be expected.
