Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently perform copying work by providing an A/D conversion means to convert analog data obtained by reading an original to digital data, an editing means to perform page edit by accumulating the digital data, and a D/A conversion means to convert the digital data edited by the editing means to the analog data. CONSTITUTION:An input part 1 reads the original to be copied, and sends it to an A/D conversion part 2 as input data (a). Also, the size of a copy sheet is designated at the input part 1. A control part 3 receives digital input data (b) outputted from the A/D conversion part 2, and discriminates whether or not the data is outputted by applying no working, or applying the page edit, and sends the data (b) to a page editing part 4 as data (d) before edit when it is discriminated that the page edit is applied. The page editing part 4 receives the data (d) before edit sent from the control part 3, and accumulates it in a memory, etc. Data edit is performed so as to house the data in which plural pages are accumulated in the copy sheet designated by the control part 3, and the data is sent to the control part 3 as data (e) after edit.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a copying machine for copying original documents, and particularly to a copying machine having a page editing function.

[Conventional technology]

Conventionally, when attempting to copy a plurality of originals onto one sheet of paper, if the original is one-sided, several sheets of the original are placed on a copying machine and copied onto one sheet of copying paper at a time. If it is a double-sided original, first copy one of the single-sided originals, then copy the other single-sided original and the previously copied single-sided original together again. [Claims] An A/D conversion means for converting analog data obtained by reading a manuscript into digital data, an editing means for accumulating the digital data and editing the page, and converting the digital data edited by the editing means into analog data.
