その一つはトタン・プラスティック等の素材表面にペイ
ントで文字等を書き表したものであり、他の一つはアク
リル乳白色板に着色アクリル板を文字・デザイン形状に
カットして貼りつけ、照明を通して利用するものである
。
以上の双方共に、看板表面の変退色が激しく、早くは2
〜3年位で美観を損ない始め、広告価値を減じて看板設
置者のイメージダウンにつながり、街の美観までも損な
うことになる。
従来は、トタン等の看板は2〜3年で変退色するのを承
知でペイントで書き直しをするかあるいは、作り直すよ
り方法がなく、また、照明利用のアクリル看板は作り替
えるより方法がないのが現状である。
数年経過した看板は、表面のみが変退色したもので、素
材についてはまだ充分に使用することができるのである
が、上記した理由のため、看板を新たに作り直すなどの
出費が強いられ、維持費も少なくないなどの問題点を有
している。
本発明は、このような従来方法の持つ課題を解決するた
めに発明されたもので、低価格で簡単に修復でき、かつ
耐久性にも優れた看板の補修方法を提供することを目的

シート素材は耐久性に富んだ材質が望ましく、通常は塩
化ビニール樹脂が多く利用される。
この着設した合成樹脂シート表面に、さらに文字・図形
等の形状に切り抜いた同材料によるシートを粘着させる
ことにより、当初設置した状態と同様なフレッシュな看
板が誕生することになる。
以上で修復作業が完了するが、後日再び修復する場合は
上記の手順を行うことによって所定の目的を達すること
ができる。
本例にて使用した塩化ビニール樹脂は、耐久性・耐候性
に富むことで知られており、従来法によるペイント表示
やアクリル板表示に比較して、長期なお、変退色等の状
況に応じて、劣化した文字・図形の部分のみに本例使用
の合成樹脂シートを粘着させてもよい。
本発明によれば、看板表面を耐久性を有する合成樹脂シ
ートでマスキングするので、長期間にわたっての使用が
可能であり、補修も容易で、かつ、その費用も低源にす
