[Prior art] In a die-casting machine, molten metal is supplied from a holding furnace in a small container to the pouring port of the injection sleeve of the die-casting machine via a drive system such as a cam and a link. Since the process of transporting the metal to the sprue is long, the temperature of the hot molten metal decreases and foreign matter gets mixed in, causing product variations and a decrease in mechanical strength.

3 and 4 are partially enlarged views of the adapter 25 shown in FIG. 1. Electric heaters 33 and 34 are inserted into the body of the adapter 25 to keep the molten metal 28 passing through the adapter 25 at a high temperature so as not to solidify it. It is held in Note that when the electric heaters 33 and 34 are used in a large die-casting machine or when the molten metal 28 has a high melting point, high-frequency induction coils are used instead of the electric heaters 33 and 34. Furthermore, shot barrel 15
As shown in FIG. 4, the tip 25A of the adapter 25 that comes into contact with the shot barrel 15 has a smaller contact surface with the shot barrel 15, which is at a lower temperature than the adapter 25, to reduce the influence of heat transfer from the shot barrel 15. Therefore, the electric power input to the electric heaters 33 and 34 is small.

27 (see Fig. 1) is a level meter installed at the top of the hot water supply pipe 23, and is designed to measure the position of the upper surface 28A of the molten metal 28 in the hot water supply pipe 23. Normally, the signal emitted from the level meter 27 is Solenoid pump 2
1 is controlled to maintain the position of the upper portion 28A of the molten metal 28 near the coil 27A which is the detector of the level meter 27. The coil 27A is a heat-resistant electric wire wound in a loop around the hot water supply pipe 23 made of ceramics, which is a non-conductor, and molded with an inorganic adhesive.
When 8A approaches the coil 27A, the mutual induction between the molten metal 28 and the coil 27A becomes stronger, and the coil 27
The inductance of A changes, and the level meter 27 can generate a signal corresponding to the position of the upper surface 28A.

The coil 27A is a simple cylindrical coil, and is used in most die-casting machines because it has a simple structure and is easily manufactured. However, especially in small-sized die-casting machines, a coil with high accuracy in measuring the position of the upper surface 28A is required. Sometimes, instead of the coil 27A, a coil having a magnetic core or a plurality of coils constituting a kind of differential transformer is used.

29 (see FIG. 2) is a flow meter that measures the flow rate of the molten metal 28 flowing in the hot water supply pipe 22, and the flow rate is measured by a coil 29A provided near the hot water supply pipe 22. As shown in FIG. 5, the coil 29A operates on the same principle as a speed sensor often used in linear servo systems, and is designed to form a loop around the water supply pipe 22 made of non-conductive ceramics. Two output coils 35 and 36 are wound around the coil 27A and are made of substantially the same material and manufacturing method as the coil 27A.
and an excitation coil 37, in particular, by providing the output coils 35 and 36 inside the excitation coil 37, the coil 29A receives a high frequency current to the terminals 38 and 39, and the molten metal 28 is A signal corresponding to the movement in the direction is emitted, and the signal is converted by the calculation circuit of the flow meter 29 and the molten metal 2
8 flow rate will be measured.

Next, the operation of the molten metal apparatus according to the invention will be explained. When supplying the molten metal (not shown) stored in the holding furnace 20 to the inner hole 16 in the shot barrel 15, the electromagnetic pump 21 operates to open the hot water supply pipe 2.
The molten metal 2 pushing up the molten metal 28 in 2 and 23
8, the operation of the electromagnetic pump 21 is temporarily stopped, and then the operation of the electromagnetic pump 21 is increased to inject the molten metal 28 into the shot barrel 15 through the inlet 38 of the adapter 25. Hole 1
6. At this time, the coil 2 which is a detector of the flow meter 29 provided close to the hot water supply pipe 22
The flow rate of the molten metal 28 flowing near 9A is measured.
When the molten metal 28 supplied into the shot barrel 15 reaches a predetermined amount, the plunger tip 18 moves to the left and closes the inlet 38, and the control operation of the electromagnetic pump 21 is switched from strong to weak again to control the hot water supply pipe 22. , 23 is controlled. At the same time, the plunger tip 18 continues to move to the left to force the molten metal 28 into the cavity 17.

[Effects of the present invention] In the present invention, the molten metal in the holding furnace is guided to the die-casting machine through a type of passage, and is press-fitted into the cavity in the mold to form a product in a short time, which is different from the conventional die-casting equipment. Most defects have been removed,
This makes it possible to shorten the casting cycle of die-casting equipment, simplify operation, stabilize product quality, and increase mechanical strength.
