Abstract

PURPOSE:To always obtain proper speaker sound volume without troublesome operating of a sound volume adjustment device by adjusting speaker sound volume automatically proportional to surrounding noise. CONSTITUTION:While a key telephone set hooks on, when surrounding noise is increased, the detected sound volume detected by a microphone is increased and an output of a surrounding noise detection circuit, that is, a voltage value of a holding circuit 10 is increased. A sound volume variable circuit 11 is set by the voltage value of the holding circuit 10 and when the user hooks off a key telephone set, a signal is sent to a detection input switch 6 and a detection output switch 7 from a hook switch circuit 8 and the detection input switch 6 and the detection output switch 7 are opened. In this case, the holding circuit 10 holds a noise volume of the surrounding noise just before hook-off and a sound volume adjustment signal is sent to an amplifier 12 based on the surrounding noise volume. Based on the signal, the amplifier 12 adjusts the output to regulate the sound volume of the speaker 13. Thus, the operation of the sound volume adjustment device is not required and the sound with proper volume is always obtained.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] Therefore, in the conventional telephone speaker volume variable system, the volume adjuster must be manually operated each time depending on the surrounding noise, which is extremely troublesome. Additionally, if your phone is installed in a location where there are large fluctuations in ambient noise, if you adjust the volume when the ambient noise is high, the volume will become too loud when the ambient noise is low, and you will have to adjust the volume again. Adjusting the volume was a pain.

The holding circuit 10 is composed of a capacitor and the like, and holds the ambient noise detection signal from the ambient noise detection signal sending section 2. Then, based on this held detection signal, the speaker volume of the audio generator 4 is varied and set. The ambient noise detection signal is held while on-hook, and the amount of ambient noise at this time determines the speaker volume of the audio generator 4.

Next, the operation of this embodiment will be explained. When the button telephone is on-hook, the detection input switch 6 and detection output switch 7 are in the closed state. At this time, ambient noise such as noise is detected by the microphone 5 and converted into a detection signal. The detection signal is sent to the detection input switch 6.
The signal is taken into the ambient noise detection circuit 9 via the ambient noise detection circuit 9 and converted into an amount of ambient noise. Then, the holding circuit 10 is charged via the surrounding noise detection circuit 9, and the amount of surrounding noise is held. While the button telephone is on-hook, if the ambient noise increases, the amount detected by the microphone also increases, and the output of the ambient noise detection circuit, that is, the voltage value of the holding circuit 10 changes and increases.

Then, depending on the voltage value of this holding circuit 10, the volume variable circuit 1
1 is set. When the user takes the key telephone off-hook, a signal is sent from the hook switch circuit 8 to the detection input switch 6 and the detection output switch 7, and the detection input switch 6 and the detection output switch 7 are turned "open". At this time, the holding circuit 10 holds the amount of ambient noise immediately before going off-hook, and based on this amount of ambient noise, the amplifier 12
An audio adjustment signal is sent to the Based on this signal, the amplifier 12 adjusts its output to adjust the volume of the audio output from the speaker 13.

As described above, this button telephone detects ambient noise when on-hook, and sets the volume to correspond to the amount of ambient noise detected immediately before when off-hook. Furthermore, as the ambient noise increases, the speaker volume is also set higher, so the speaker volume is always proportional to the amount of ambient noise.

In this button phone, the speaker volume generated from the button phone's speaker is adjusted by the ambient noise just before the button phone is used, but the ambient noise does not change in a short period of time. It is thought that the ambient noise during use is almost the same, so there is no problem in using it.

As explained above, even if the ambient noise around the phone is large, the speaker volume is automatically adjusted in proportion to the amount of ambient noise, so the speaker volume is always adjusted to the appropriate level without having to operate a cumbersome volume adjuster. This has the effect of increasing the volume.
