Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress a picture recording miss caused by the generation of abnormality to the minimum by providing a means for outputting an abnormality generation warning video signal to television monitor connected to the outside instead of an input video signal at the time when abnormality is generated. CONSTITUTION:When various abnormalities are generated, various signals 16-19 are outputted to a control circuit 7 from an input video signal detecting circuit 8, a video head clogging detecting circuit 9, a motor 10 and a dewing sensor 11, and by the control circuit 7, an abnormality warning signal 20 corresponding to various abnormalities is outputted to a character generator 12. The character generator 12 generates an abnormality generation warning screen corresponding to the respective abnormality contents signified by the abnormality warning signal 20, and outputs it as an abnormality generation warning video signal 22. A changeover switch 13 selects the abnormality generation warning video signal 22 by the control circuit 7, outputs the abnormality generation warning video signal to a television monitor 3, and reflects an abnormality generation warning screen on the television monitor 3. In such a way, a picture recording miss caused by the generation of abnormality is suppressed to the minimum.

The internal configuration of the VTR 2, which is an image recording and reproducing device, will be explained below. 4 is a recording/reproducing circuit which records an input video signal 14 inputted from the video camera 1 onto the magnetic tape 6 using the video head 6, or reproduces a signal recorded on the magnetic tape 6. Reference numeral 8 denotes an input video signal detection circuit that detects the presence or absence of a synchronization signal of the input video signal 14 and outputs an input video signal detection signal 16. Reference numeral 9 denotes a video recorder that detects the video head's blindness by detecting the playback output level of the video head between frames recorded in frame-by-frame recording, and outputs the video head's blindness signal 17. This is a head blockage detection circuit. A dew condensation sensor 11 detects dew condensation and outputs a dew condensation signal 19.

Next, when various abnormalities occur, the input video signal detection circuit 8. Video head clogging detection circuit 9° motor 10. The dew condensation sensor 11 outputs various signals 16 to 19 to the control circuit 7, and the control circuit 7 outputs an abnormality warning signal 2o corresponding to various abnormalities to the character generator 12. The character generator 12 creates an abnormality occurrence warning screen corresponding to each abnormality content indicated by the abnormality warning signal 2o,
It is output as an abnormality occurrence warning video signal 22. At this time,
The changeover switch 13 selects the abnormality occurrence warning video signal 22 by the control circuit 7 and outputs the abnormality occurrence warning video signal 22 to the television monitor 3. Then, on TV monitor 3, there is a second
An abnormality warning screen as shown in the figure will be displayed.

As described above, according to this embodiment, when a VTR is used for monitoring, abnormalities that occur during operation are detected and displayed on the TV monitor instead of being displayed on the display of the VTR as in the past. By displaying the information on the screen, the monitor cannot see the display because the VTR is installed far away.
Even if you are unaware that an abnormality has occurred with the VTR and recording is no longer possible, you can ensure that the person monitoring the TV monitor screen is notified.
The supervisor can immediately take action on the abnormality.

Effects of the Invention As described above, according to the present invention, when an image recording/reproducing device is unable to record due to head clogging, dew condensation, etc., this abnormality is detected and an abnormality occurrence warning video signal is input to the input video signal. Since the configuration is such that the output is output to the connected TV monitor instead, a warning screen indicating various abnormalities configured by the abnormality occurrence warning video signal can be displayed on the TV monitor. With IP, it is possible to immediately take measures against abnormalities, such as cleaning the head, so recording errors due to abnormalities in the image recording/reproducing apparatus can be minimized, and its practical effects are great.
