Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily control an equipment by obtaining the information relating to the input moving direction from the change of the time on the position information given to an input sensing means, thereby only designating the direction on the input sensing means. CONSTITUTION:An input sensing means 1 senses an input position and outputs the value as the coordinates in a 2-dimensional orthogonal coordinate system. The contact coordinate value is given to an input direction calculating means 3 from the input sensing means 1 at a fixed time interval with a time counting means 2. Then the means 3 calculates the component of an input direction vector from the input coordinate value received right before the calculation and the input coordinate value obtained at the present time point. An equipment control means 4 selects the equipment to be controlled and the control method based on the calculated input direction vector. Thus it is possible to obtain the equipment controller which gives instructions the input with the use of the information on the moving information not based on the position information but on the input moving direction.
