この考案は一般家庭用、業務用に広く用いられ
ている電気温水器、蓄熱タンクその他の温水タン

従来例の構成と問題点
従来の例えば第1図に示す電気温水器は、内面
がグラスライニング処理された鋼板製タンク1で
構成され、部分的に存在するピンホールや下方に
設けられたシーズヒータ2の腐食を防ぐため、シ
ーズヒータ2の近傍に電極3を1本だけ設けた外
部電源式防食装置が設けられていた。4は電源
で、4aは整流器、4bは平滑コンデンサ、4c
は抵抗、5は給水栓、6は給湯栓である。しか
し、経時的にグラスライニングが温水によつて自
己消耗し、鉄の露出部を増大させてタンク内面が
腐食するという問題点を有していた。この問題点
を解消するため、第2図のように電極3aを付加
し、タンク内面を均等に防食することが試みられ
てきた。しかし、この装置は、単電極に比べて電
流が過大になるためグラスライニングを飛ばし、
鉄の露出を逆に促進するという結果になり、腐食

この考案の構成によれば、前記検知素子は検知

状態にあつては第一の電極のみしか導通していな
いため過電流を防止することができ、消耗してい
ないグラスライニングの劣化促進が少なくより効

トランジスタ9に電流が流れ、リレー10が働
き、接点11が閉になり、第二の電極7bに電圧
が印加されて電流が流れる。このとき上方のタン
ク内面のグラスライニングも同様に劣化消耗し始
めており、第二の電極7bから防食電流がタイミ
ングよく流れ、効果的にタンク内面の防食をする
ことができる。こうして温水タンクの内面の防食

考案の効果
この考案の温水タンクの防食装置は、長期間使

動的に電流を増加させることができ、防食効果を
高めてタンクの寿命が長くなる。また使用初期か
ら過度の電流を流さずに防食するため水素発生に
よるグラスライニングの割れがなく劣化を押える
