ーシール構造と、前記ドアロツク1の外側にウエ
ザストリツプが取付けられた所謂アウターシール
構造(図示省略)とがあり、後者においては、風
雨、ホコリ等が車室内およびドアロツク1の内部
へ侵入するのを防止することができるが、車両設
計上つねにアウターシール構造にすることができ
るとは限らず、しばしば前者のインナーシール構
造にせざるをえない場合があり、前者のインナー
シール構造においては、風雨、ホコリ等の車室内
への侵入は防止できるが、ロツクアセンブリ2に
形成されたストライカ3進入用の開口部20を通
じて風雨、ホコリ等が前記ロツクアセンブリ2の
内部へ侵入し、ロツクアセンブリ2自体が発錆し
たりして作動不良を招くというような問題点があ
つた。

ホコリ等のロツクアセンブリ内部への侵入を阻止
するようにしたものである。
