In the case of a casing auger, in which multiple cutter bits are attached at equal intervals to the tip (lower end surface) of a large diameter and long cylindrical casing, and the cutter bits are rotated to drill through the ground or rock, the cutter bits are usually attached to the casing pipe by welding. I am going by.

However, when a welding bit is worn out or damaged, it is very troublesome and time-consuming to regenerate or replace it. In other words, re-grinding of worn bits and replacement of damaged bits cannot be carried out unless the welded part to the casing pipe is fused and the damaged bit is removed.
Also, when welding the next bit to be used, it is necessary to repair the welded part of the base metal.

For general rock earth augers with a bit attached to the tip of the spiral blade, a wedge is bolted to the recess of the body, and the bit is fixed by the tightening force of the wedge (for example, Utility Model Application No. 58587/1983). ), it has been made possible to attach and detach bits.
This type of structure cannot be used for casing augers with different body shapes.

The present invention is to separate the cutter bit into a holder that is welded to the tip of the casing pipe of the casing auger, and a bit body that is inserted into the dovetail groove of the holder and bolted, thereby making it possible to attach and detach the bit body that wears out. At the same time, the structure is designed to actively capture fine earth and sand generated by excavation into the gap between the bit body and the holder, increasing the holding power of the bit body and protecting the fastening bolt. Innovative thinking can be seen in the way it is used effectively.

As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the bit body 1
In this example, a cutting tip 3 made of a hard material such as cemented carbide is attached to the tip of a shank 2 by brazing or the like, and the rear part of the shank 2 is attached to one side surface 2a.
and the intersection of the front surface 2b and the first side surface 2a and the rear surface 2c
A notched groove 4 extending from the middle of the shank to the upper surface 2d is provided at the intersection of the shank to make the cross-sectional shape in a cross-sectional view convex. In addition, the shank 2 has a stepped bolt hole 5 with a large diameter opening at the location where the notch groove is provided.
is provided so as to penetrate from one side surface 2a to the other side surface 2e.

On the other hand, the bit holder 6 has an axial dovetail groove 7 which is similar in cross-sectional shape to the convex shape of the shank of the bit body and is slightly smaller than the shank dimension, and is open on the lower surface 6b on the side surface 6a side. A screw hole 8 is provided at a position corresponding to the hole, and the upper wall 6c serves as the upper surface 2d of the shank, and the opposing front and rear walls 6d and 6e serve as the front and rear surfaces 2 of the shank.
b, 2c on the other side 2e of the shank with the side wall 6f.
The one side surface 2a side of the shank is supported by the protrusion 6g left on the one side surface 6a side and the fixing bolt 9 (10 is a spring washer).
However, the support is carried out in some places in close contact, but in other parts it is carried out through fine-grained earth and sand flowing into and filling the gap G between the outer surface of the shank 2 and the inner surface of the dovetail groove 7.

That is, when assembling the bit body and the boulder as shown in the figure, it is normal to seal the opening of the gap to prevent dirt from entering the gap between the two, but in the present invention, the bottom side of the holder is (Can also be on the shank side) A slope 11 that widens the dovetail groove 7 is attached to the gap G.
On the contrary, the opening of the gap G is enlarged, so that the fine earth and sand generated during excavation flows into the gap G as the bit moves, and is pressed hard by the excavation pressure and filled. This inflow of earth and sand powder is completed after the first excavation of about 5 m, and it has been confirmed through experiments that at this point the bit body in the holder does not move at all even if the bolt 9 is removed. This prevents the bit body from rattling during excavation.

In other words, in the bit of the present invention, as shown in Fig. 3, two different types of bits are installed at the tip of the casing pipe A in a staggered manner at regular intervals in the circumferential direction, drilling the inner and outer sides of the pipe. P 1 in Figure 1 during excavation
It receives a pressing force in the direction P2, a cutting force in the P2 direction, and a lateral pressure in the P3 direction and the opposing P4 direction in Fig. 2, but P1
The force of P4 is applied to the upper wall 6c of the holder, and the side pressure of P4 is applied to the side wall 6c of the holder.
On the other hand, the cutting force of P 2 is received by the front and rear walls 6d and 6e through the filling earth and sand, and the force of P 3 is similarly received by the protrusion 6g through the earth and sand. This also avoids the transmission of the force P 3 to the bolt 9, preventing loosening and damage to that bolt.

Note that the blade shape of the bit body is not particularly limited. Further, the dovetail groove 7 and a portion of the shank inserted therein may have a trapezoidal cross-sectional shape.

Further, the solidified earth and sand in the gap G is strong against compression but weak against impact, so if an impact is applied with a hammer or the like, it will easily fall off and will not interfere with the removal of the bit body.

As mentioned above, in the cutter bit of the present invention, the bit body can be easily attached and detached, and the body bolted to the holder does not rattle due to fine earth and sand that is actively taken in between it and the inner surface of the dovetail groove of the holder. This allows stable excavation and prevents damage to parts.

Further, since the gap between the bit body and the holder can be created by lowering the machining accuracy, manufacturing becomes easier.
