Abstract

PURPOSE:To constitute the subject portable type laser beam welding gun where welding work is simplified by providing a laser beam head on one arm oh a conventional portable type welding gun, connecting it with a laser beam oscillator via an optical fiber and forming a work receiving part on the other arm. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam head 6 is provided on the top of one arm 2 of the conventional manual portable type X gun 1 and connected with the YAG laser beam oscillator 8 via the optical fiber 9 and the work receiving part 10 is provided on the top of the other arm 3. By this constitution, teh arms 2 and 3 are opened and closed by a cylinder 4 and works 11 are sandwiched between the beam head 6 and the work receiving part 10 and further, pressed by operation of the cylinder 4. The YAG laser beam oscillator 8 is the operated and a YAG laser beam is led to the beam head 6 via the optical fiber 9 and condensed by a condensing lens 7 and the works 11 on its focus are welded.
