される。

果固形材1と裏ビード間に均一にスラグ層が形成
され、光沢のある均一な裏ビードが形成される。
ただし凸起7の厚さは溶接熱(数千℃)により溶
融する程度の厚さとして、裏ビード余盛形状に影
響を与えないようにする。すなわち凸起7の厚さ
は、流動する溶融スラグの堰止めとして機能する
程度の厚さを必要とし、かつ裏ビード形状に影響
を与えない程度の厚さに抑える。この厚さは適宜
溶接の種類等により決定すべきで、一律に決めら
れない。
