本発明は、銀記具用、記録機械用、スタンプ用、印刷用
等に供する水性インキの耐乾燥性の向上に関するもので

てインキ中の溶解物や混合物が乾燥固化して、目詰まり
を起し、再筆記又再記録に支障が生じる弊がある。その
ため従来は、多価アルコールもしくはホルムアミド等の
湿潤剤や、多1価アルコールもしくはその誘導体、ピロ
リドンもしくはその誘導体、テトラヒト、、aフルフラ
ールアルコール、4−メトキシ−4−メチルペンタン−
2オン、P−トルエンスルホンアミドのエチレンオキサ
イド付加物、チオジェタノール、アルカノールアミン等
の難揮発性の染料可溶化剤もしくは染料溶解助剤などを

しかしながら上記の各添加剤は、乾燥防止効果が不十分
であったシ、毒性を有して添加物として不適当であった
シ、インキ粘度を増大する弊があったシして、満足でき
る水性イン中を得ることができなかった。そこで本発明
は耐乾燥性にすぐれ、且つ安全で、然も粘度が上昇する

尚、本発明の水性イン午組生物中には池の所要な水溶性
有機溶剤を一種革独でもしくは複数種類組み合せて添加

本発明において水性インキ組成物中に添加すルマルテト
ール(還元麦芽糖にも主要成分として含まれている)は
、食用甘味料としても一般に用いられている毒性的に全
く安全な糖類で、水に対する溶解性が極めてすぐれてお
シ高濃度及び低温でも結晶化せずインキ組成物中に多量
添加しても粘度をそれ程上昇させることがなく(例えば
全インキ組成物中70重量−程度まで含有させても筆記
具インキとしての実用的粘度の範囲を逸脱することがな
い6)、又、極めてすぐれた水分保持性を有するとり特
性がある。このマルチトールの特性によってマルチトー
ルを含んだ水性インキは、安全で、粘度を上昇させるよ
うな弊を生じることなく、耐乾燥性を向上せしめること
が可能゛となる。尚、マルチトールは一般的に用りられ
ているインキ組成物中に対し影響を与えず、インキ中の
水素イオン濃度などを変化させることもないので、アニ
オン及びカチオン性の物質に対しても悪影響を及ぼさず
従って着色剤としては全ての水溶性染料及び有機もしく
