Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain electrically conductive silicone rubber suitable for switch, connector, etc., in electronic industry, having excellent physical and electrical properties by blending silicone rubber with electrically-conductive granules with an alloy of Si element and metal subjected to surface treatment. CONSTITUTION:Electrical insulating silicone rubber is blended with electrically- conductive granules prepared by treating the surface of alloy comprising AlxSiy with a coupling agent containing vinylsiloxane and vulcanized with a peroxide or by addition reaction.

[Prior art] Ordinary conductive silicone rubber is made by adding conductive particles to insulating silicone rubber and vulcanizing it.As for the conductive particles, carbon-based materials such as carbon black and graphite, 8g, The mainstream is to use metals such as Ni and Cu, or even inorganic materials such as glass beads coated with metal.

[Problems to be solved by the invention] Conventional conductive rubber using graphite-based particles is difficult to reduce resistance, and because it has no reactivity with silicone polymers, it has poor strength in terms of aIti. In addition, there are many problems such as the impossibility of coloring other than black, and although it is possible to solve the problem of lower resistance and color with metal particles, it is necessary to prevent metal oxidation and corrosion. However, it is necessary to use an expensive stable metal, and like graphite-based materials, there is no reactivity with silicone polymers, resulting in poor mechanical strength, and there remains the problem that metal particles are detached.

[Means for solving the problem] Therefore, the present invention uses an alloy of Si element and metal as the conductive particles to obtain the reactivity between the conductive particles and the silicone polymer. It was found that the alloy shown is the most stable and has good conductivity, but by adding other metals, it is also possible to obtain conductive silicone rubber with no problems as an alloy consisting of elements of 3M or more. .

Here, the surface of the alloy AlxSiy is 820% in air.
.. Since the surface has 5i-OH due to the 0° angle, the surface can be easily treated with silane by using a silane coupling agent. When selecting this coupling agent, if a compound having a vinyl group is used, it will become a vinyl siloxane according to the following reaction formula.

[Effects of the Invention] As described above, by surface-treating Al and xSiy particles and introducing vinyl groups, stable conductive silicone rubber can be obtained by conventional molding methods.
The use of the alloy as conductive rubber, which requires strength, is expanding, and the alloy called ALXSiy is relatively low-cost, so its industrial effects are great.
