本発明は、ホテル、旅館、家庭、会社宿泊施設等で使用
される布団に用いるカバーに関し、特に布団内に発生す
るダニ類の駆除を容易にする布団カバーに関するもので

(従来の技術及びその課題)
従来よりぜん息の原因の1つとして、家庭内のダニの死
骸が知られている。特に最近の日本家屋は密閉性が高く
なっており、また、温調設備が整ってきたため、夏冬に
関係なくダニの繁殖が盛んである。特に、布団の中は温
度が夜間でも高く、ダニの格好の温床になっている。こ
のダニ及びダニの死骸がぜん息や皮膚病を引き起こす大
きな要因の1つになっており、特に小児ぜん息の発作で
夜間就寝でき難くなるのは、このダニによって誘発され
るためである。布団内のダニは繁殖し続け、−枚の布団
の中に生息するダニの数は3万匹以上にもなっているこ
とが確認され、ぜん息や皮膚病を悪化させる要因となっ
ている。しかし、布団中のダニを駆除する方法として殺
虫剤、虫干し等が施されているが殆ど本質的な除去効果
がない。また、強力な電気掃除機で幾度も吸引除去する
方法がとられているがこの方法も抜本的な効果は期待で

を重ねた結果、本発明に到達した。即ち、本発明は(1
)太陽光エネルギーを吸収しやすい布からなることを特
徴とするダニ駆除用布団カバーであり、(2)前記(1
)記載の布が疎水性の黒色の織布からなダニ駆除用布団
カバーであり、(3)前記(1)または(2)記載の布

れた面は温度が高くなるが、その反対側は低いままであ
り、そのためダニは反対側に移動することにより死滅し

実施例1
黒色の木綿製の布からなる袋状の布団カバーを作製した
。この中にダニが繁殖した布団を入れ、直射日光にさら
して3時間放置した。布団カバーの中は、次第に温度が
上昇し、最高的75°Cまで上昇した。日光が照射した
反対側の面でも温度は約62°Cに達していた。布団カ
バーをよく叩き、布団カバー内に溜まったダニの死骸を
調べたところ、約15,000程度であった。布団内の
