Abstract

PURPOSE:To align punch holes of the same shape at a fixed dimension from the back by a method wherein a cutting chain line is made in a printing stage prior to folding, and the punch holes are made in a stage for binding sheets with the back aligned prior to the adhesion of a back guard sheet. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a cutting chain line (x) has been made by a relief printing technique simultaneously with the printing on paper. Next, a plurality of unit sheet groups 1, 1' are made, and the sheets are lapped and bound by a stitching or other method with the back aligned. Punch holes 3 are mechanically made at a fixed dimension T from the back. A back guard sheet 5 applied with an adhesive 4 on the adhesion surface thereof is prepared and bonded to the back. Thereafter, doubled end leaves are lapped on and under the bundle of sheets and bonded to the back guard sheet 5. Then, the bundle of sheets is cut into a predetermined size, a cover is bonded to the outside end leaves, and a book is completed. In this manner, the punch holes can be aligned without marring the appearance of the book.

In this notebook manufacturing method, the present inventor newly proposes the creation of notebooks and other notebooks that also serve as loose-leaf paper sheets. In this case, each sheet of the notebook must be easily cut out along the perforation line, and each sheet must have punch holes for loose leaves.

(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) Therefore, it was considered to form cutout chain lines and corresponding punch holes for loose leaf on the paper surface before folding, but due to the folding accuracy, the error was large, so it was not possible to staple the paper. When this happens, there is a problem that the punched holes become uneven, spoiling the appearance of the book, and lowering the product value. Also,
If the punch holes are punched after the book is finished, the punch holes will be visible on the outside of the cover, spoiling the appearance of the book itself.

(Object of the Invention) The present invention has been made based on the above circumstances, and the cut-and-dash lines are formed in the printing stage before folding, and the punch holes are aligned and stitched together on the back side before gluing the spine mount. By forming the paper in stages, the paper is made to have a shape that matches a certain dimension from the back, and the punched holes are aligned to create a book with an excellent appearance.

(Means for Solving the Problem) For this reason, in the present invention, in order to completely form the cut-off chain line for cutting at a predetermined width from the folding point I on the binding side, the step of simultaneously forming the above-mentioned cut-off chain line at the time of printing before folding. And, after folding, a step of drilling a loose-leaf edge hole inside the above-mentioned cut-and-dash line is added at the stage of binding to the required thickness.

In this state, multiple groups of unit sheets L (and one sheet are stacked on top of each other with their binding side backs aligned (see FIG. 3(a)),
This is done using traditional methods such as stitching. Next, punch holes 32!i- are mechanically formed on a bundle of paper sheets of a predetermined thickness (T(t), in line with the above-mentioned back surface, at a distance of a predetermined distance T (see Fig. 3)). . Next, a back wrapping mount 5 (see FIG. 3(C)) having an adhesive 4 bonded to its adhesive surface is prepared, and bonded as usual (see FIG. 3(d)).

After that, the endpapers 6 folded in half are stacked on top and bottom of the bundle of paper sheets and glued to the spine mount 5 (see Fig. 4), and then cut as shown in Fig. 5 to cut the top and bottom edges of the paper sheets. and an opening edge are formed, and the cover 7 for each main body N, N2 is completed by gluing it to the outer side of the facing paper 6 (see FIG. 6).

According to such a manufacturing procedure, the punch holes 3 are not formed on the outside of the cover 6, so the appearance of the book is not impaired. In addition, since the punch holes are formed in a stack of books, the punch holes are not irregular, so the punch holes are in an orderly manner and do not reduce the product value. In particular, even if there is an error in the interval t due to positional deviation of the folding line,
Since the dimension from the punch hole 3 to the facing edge of the sheet is uniform, when used as a loose-leaf book by cutting it along the dotted line, the facing edges of the sheet in the loose-leaf book will be aligned, and it will be normal. It is possible to maintain the same appearance as when using loose-leaf paper sheets.

(Effects of the Invention) As described in detail above, the present invention was designed to construct a new notebook with paper sheets that can be converted to loose-leaf paper by devising a manufacturing procedure for the notebook. , the punch holes are aligned without damaging the appearance, and the product value can be maintained, and even when used as a loose leaf, there is the advantage that the facing sides are aligned.
