A touch panel, which consists of an integral layer of opposing upper and lower electrodes, a holding plate, a shield plate, etc., is installed in front of the display surface of a CRT, LCD (liquid crystal display), etc. installed in the main body. It is a transparent body that is slightly wider than the display surface. Then, by pressing a desired position of the upper electrode with a pointer such as a fingertip or a pen, the upper electrode and the lower electrode are electrically connected and the signal is sent to the main body via the connector, and is further attached to the main body. The information is input to a processing device such as a computer, which receives the input and performs a predetermined process, and the results are displayed on the display screen as dot symbols, patterns, etc. The shield plate of the touch panel is formed by forming transparent electrodes on a transparent sheet, and functions to prevent noise and static electricity from being generated on the display surface.

言い難かつた。 By the way, in conventional touch panels of this type, the connector that connects the external leads of the upper and lower electrodes to the main body also serves as a ground relay point for the shield plate, and the shield plate is connected to the main body via the connector. It is configured to be connected to the ground part on the side. Therefore, if this connector is not connected to the main body, no shielding effect will be obtained, and noise will occur on the display surface and dust will easily adhere to it, making it difficult to ensure that the shield plate functions properly. , it was hard to say that it was a desirable configuration.

Attachment holes 6c are drilled at positions corresponding to a and 5a, and copper tape 10 is applied across both sides of the shield plate 6. Further, a silver pattern 6d is formed on the transparent electrode 6b of the shield plate 6 at a portion facing the copper tape 10, and the silver pattern 6d ensures a reliable electrical connection between the transparent electrode 6b and the copper tape 10. It has become a thing.

The touch panel 2 is mounted using a mounting bracket 14 having a shape that matches this step. It is attached to chassis 1b. That is, the mounting brackets 14 are applied to the four corners of the touch panel 2 via the cushion members 15, and the shield plate 6 is fixed to the chassis 1b with the screws 13, and the entire touch panel 2 is placed between the mounting brackets 14 and the chassis 1b. It's being held in place. Also in this embodiment, a copper tape 10 is attached to the end of the shield plate 6, and the electrical connection between the transparent electrode 6b and the chassis 1b is maintained via the copper tape 10. Therefore, the ground of the shield plate 6 is directly taken out to the ground portion of the main body 1 side.
