Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable sterilizing and tick killing to be executed at the time of washing by using a water feeding means and a heat feeding means to heat an object to washed in a washing tank under the existence of free water, and by setting its heating temperature and the keeping time of the heating temperature to satisfy specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:A washing tank 3 for containing and washing clothing, a pulsator 4 for applying a mechanical cleaning force, a heat feeding means 5, and a water feeding means 6 are arranged. Then, by both means 5, 6, to an object to be washed in the washing tank 3, water and heat are fed and moisture and heat conditions are applied for sterilizing. When a heating temperature at the time of this moisture and heat is set as T deg.C, and the keeping time of the heating temperature is set as t minutes, then the moisture and heat conditions are set as T>45 deg.C and (-8.08X10<-3>T+0.351)t<-5.60. As a result, in good heat efficiency, sterilizing and tick killing can be executed.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Bacteria are microorganisms that usually live in single cells. Among these bacteria, there are some that adhere to clothing and exhibit harmful effects as bacteria that cause fiber deterioration and infectious diseases. . House mites are minute animals that live in living environments, and are known to exist in large numbers in bedding such as blankets and sheets. Among these are:
Some allergens have harmful effects on the human body.

Next, we analyzed the bacterial survival rate after washing and dehydration using an electric washing machine commonly used in households and commercially available household detergents. The results are: n=24, X=8.9xlO-',
1 og = -3,051, cr = 0.907, and if we also consider the range of ±2σ, the maximum survival rate is 5.8 x 10-'. Therefore, at most,

It is believed that 4.0xlO' cells/g of bacteria remain after washing in a normal household. In other words, if a sterilization method that provides a survival rate of less than l÷(4,0x10') = 2.5xlO-6 is used during the washing process, the number of remaining bacteria can be reduced to 0. It can be said that sufficient sterilization ability can be obtained.

Next, we will discuss the relationship between temperature time during heating under humid conditions (moist heat) and bacterial survival rate. The bacteria used in this experiment is a strain of Gram-positive cocci. This strain was isolated and cultured from common bacteria, excluding spore-forming bacteria that usually adhere to household clothing, and was isolated as the most heat-resistant bacteria out of all the bacteria. Now, Figure 2 shows the relationship between humidity, heat, temperature, time and survival rate in Japan. The figure shows that under a temperature condition of 45℃ or higher, logR=
(-8,08xlOT+0.351) The relationship of t is satisfied. Here, R is the survival rate in the home country, T is the hygrothermal temperature ('
C), t is the moist heat time (minutes). As mentioned above, the sterilizing means applied to the washing machine is required to have a survival rate of 2.5·1 O-6 or less.

Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described. The configuration used for this purpose is the same as that of the first embodiment, in which water and heat are supplied to the laundry stored inside to provide moist heat conditions to kill mites. For house dust mites, blankets can contain up to 10

With the above configuration, the laundry is brought into a moist heat state and can be sterilized and killed by mites. Also, in order to apply steam to dry laundry, compared to applying steam to wet laundry, heat is taken away by the rising temperature of the water contained in the laundry. (, therefore, it has good heat efficiency.
