12 intersect with each other at the center of each. Reference numeral 13 denotes a UV input terminal, which, as is well known, is composed of a center conductor connecting portion 13a and an outer conductor connecting portion 13b, to which a lead-in cable 6 (coaxial cable) can be connected. Reference numeral 14 indicates a VHF output line, and an output connection terminal 15 is attached to the tip thereof. Reference numeral 16 indicates a UHF output line, and an output connection terminal 17 is attached to the tip thereof. As the VHF and UHF output lines 14 and 16, for example, a parallel feeder as shown in the figure is used. Next, in each member provided inside the case 10, 18 is a branching circuit, as is well known.
The UHF television signal and the VHF television signal are configured to be separated from each other. A mixing circuit 19 is configured to mix two UHF television signals as is well known. 21 indicates a directivity changeover switch. In this switch 21, reference numeral 22 denotes a fixed portion, which has a plurality of inner contacts 23 and a plurality of outer contacts 24 as well. These plurality of contacts 23 and 24 are connected to the base portions 11a to 12b of the antenna element, respectively, as shown in FIG. 25 is a movable part, which is rotatable as shown by the arrow. 26 and 27 are contact pieces provided on the movable part 25, and the contact piece 26 is configured to be able to selectively connect to the plurality of inner contacts 23 as the movable part 25 rotates; Contact piece 27
As the movable part 25 rotates, the inner contact 23
and the outer contact 24. These contact pieces 26, 27 are connected to one input end of the mixing circuit 19 as shown. Reference numeral 28 denotes an operating section connected to the movable section 25. By rotating this, the movable section 2

Next, a method of using the indoor antenna device 8 having the above configuration will be explained. First, the duplexer 30 conventionally used between the lead-in cable 6 and the television receiver 7 is removed as shown in FIG. That is, the VHF connection line 31 and the UHF connection line 32 of the duplexer 30 are removed from the VHF and UHF antenna input terminals 7a and 7b of the television receiver 7, respectively, and the lead-in cable 6 is removed from the connection terminal 33. Thereafter, the terminal of the lead-in cable 6 is connected to the input terminal 13 of the indoor antenna device 8 shown in FIG. Moreover, the output lines 14 and 16 in the antenna device 8
The output connection terminals 15 and 17 of each are connected to the antenna input terminals 7a and 7b of the television receiver 7, respectively. Further, this indoor antenna device 8 can be used, for example, as a television receiver 7, as shown in FIG. 1 or FIG.
Place it on top.

In the above state, the VHF and UHF television signals received by the outdoor antennas 3 and 4, mixed by the mixer 5, and sent via the lead-in cable 6 are sent to the input terminal 1 of the indoor antenna device 8.
Enter 3. These TV signals are sent to the branching circuit 1
8, the signal is split into a VHF television signal and a UHF television signal. After the VHF television signal is demultiplexed, it is sent to the VHF antenna input terminal 7a of the television receiver via the output line 14. On the other hand, the demultiplexed UHF television signal is sent to a mixing circuit 19. On the other hand, a newly installed UHF television signal sent from a newly installed transmitting station is received by antenna elements 11 and 12. This received television signal is sent to the mixing circuit 19 via the changeover switch 21. The mixing circuit 19 mixes the above-mentioned UHF television signal and the newly installed UHF television signal and outputs the mixture. The mixed output is sent to the UHF antenna input terminal 7b of the television receiver via the output line 16. Therefore, a viewer who wants to watch television can switch channels on the television receiver 7 in the same way as before, thereby switching between the conventional VHF and
In addition to UHF TV broadcasts, you can also receive new TV broadcasts.

When receiving a newly installed UHF TV radio wave as described above, rotate the operating section 28 of the antenna device 8 and switch the directivity selector switch 21 to receive the newly installed TV broadcast in the best possible manner. Do it like this. That is, by rotating the movable part 25 of the changeover switch 21 by operating the operating part 28, the contact pieces 26, 27 are selectively connected to the base parts 11a to 12b of each antenna element. Then, due to the difference in their connection status, antenna element 1
The directivity patterns of No. 1 and No. 12 change variously.
As a result, no matter which direction the target new UHF TV signal comes from (for example, the direction of the arrow can be excluded.

Next, FIG. 6 shows a different embodiment of the present application, and shows its use in the case where existing VHF and UHF television signals are received from a communal reception facility. In the figure, reference numeral 35 indicates a trunk cable in the community reception facility, 36 a branch, and 37 a subscriber's home for community reception. Even in such a case, the indoor antenna device 8 may be used by connecting it between the lead-in cable 6 and the television receiver 7, just as in the case described above.
