The technique disclosed in the publication is known and practiced. According to this known method, adhesive is intermittently applied to a continuous elastic band while it is being stretched to adhere it to the continuous web constituting the diaper, and after the adhesive has hardened, the continuous elastic band is not coated with adhesive. By simultaneously cutting the continuous web in the area and shrinking the uncoated area, it is possible to obtain individual diapers in which the elastic band is located only around the legs.

In addition, since the continuous elastic band bonded to the continuous web is transported over a relatively long distance from the initial process of bonding it to the continuous web to near the final process of cutting it together with the continuous web, the adhesive is in a partially cured state. In the process, the continuous web shifts in the width direction,
This tendency can be overlooked when using multiple thin rubber threads as a continuous elastic band and gluing them in parallel at predetermined intervals to a continuous web. This is a problem that cannot be solved.

することにある。 Therefore, the object of the present invention is to cut the continuous elastic band to a predetermined length in the initial step of bonding the continuous elastic band to the continuous web with an adhesive even if the adhesive is in a partially cured state. In order to make it possible, we used multiple thin rubber threads with small shrinkage force as a continuous elastic band, and by effectively exerting the viscous resistance of the adhesive in the final cured state, the cut thread-like rubber It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for manufacturing a disposable diaper that can prevent the diaper from separating from the continuous web due to its contraction force.

A continuous backing sheet 3 made of plastic film or the like is led via a receiving roll 4 to an assembly station S equipped with nip rolls 1, 2. A plurality of thread-like rubber 5 with a cross-sectional area of 0.03 to 0.6 mm 2 are provided on the widthwise side of the upper surface of the back surface 3.
is stretched in advance to a predetermined magnification by a draft means (not shown), and is intermittently coated with a hot melt adhesive 7 in the length direction by a coating means 6, as shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, and then in the width direction. are arranged in parallel with a gap between them, and pass through the guide roll 8 to the receiving roll 4.
be led to. Further, a continuous support tape 9 is guided to the receiving roll 4 via a guide roll 10 and is adhered to the thread rubber 5 and the back sheet 3 with an adhesive 7.
The support tape 9 is made of a plastic film/nonwoven fabric that has a width that covers the entirety of the rubber thread 5 and flexibility that does not impede the required contraction force of the rubber thread, and is heat-fusible and substantially inelastic. It has the function of making the adhesive 7 effectively exhibit its viscous resistance in cooperation with the back sheet 3. In this way, the thread-shaped rubber 5 placed between the back surface 3 and the support tape 9 via the adhesive 7 is subjected to the ultrasonic action of the ultrasonic cutter 11 via the support tape 9, and thereby the adhesive 7 is removed. It is cut in the non-coated area 12 and the non-coated area shrinks.

When the ultrasonic cutter 11 operates, the rubber thread 5 and the support tape 9 are softened by the ultrasonic action. Therefore, the contractile force of the stretched rubber thread 5 concentrates on the softened portion and is cut, while the support tape 9 is in a lightly tensioned state like the back sheet 3, and even if it softens, The softened part is only a small part of the support tape, and the tension is not concentrated on the softened part, so it remains in a softened state, and after the operation of the ultrasonic cutter 11 is stopped. It naturally cools and hardens during transportation. When the back sheet 3 is made of a heat-fusible material, the portion subjected to the ultrasonic action softens like the support tape 9, but similarly to the support tape, it cools naturally and hardens without being cut. However, the portions of the support tape 9 and the back sheet 3 that have been subjected to the ultrasonic action remain as very slight scars.

の状態になる。 As shown in FIG. 3, the support tape 9 is welded to the backsheet at the portion 13 that has been subjected to the ultrasonic action, so that the viscous resistance of the adhesive 7 described above can be more effectively exerted, and during the transfer of the backsheet 3. It also has the function of preventing problems such as those caused by the thread-like rubber 5 coming into contact with other members. Therefore, the thread-like rubber 5
Even if the adhesive 7 is cut before being sufficiently cured, the stretchable functional area coated with the adhesive 7 will not shrink or come off from the back sheet 3. However, in order to prevent the rubber thread 5 from shrinking in this way, the shrinkage force F of the rubber thread 5, the number of the threads is N, and the viscous resistance force of the adhesive between the rubber thread 5 and the back sheet 3 is F1. , thread rubber 5 and support tape 9
The adhesive viscous resistance between the two is F2 , and the back sheet 3
Assuming that the adhesive viscous resistance between the tape and the supporting tape 9 is F 3 , the condition F/N<F 1 +F 2 +2F 3 is required.Satisfying this condition requires the required elongation stress and This can be done relatively easily by appropriately selecting the characteristics of the adhesive. In order to satisfy this condition, it is necessary to apply the adhesive 7 to the entire circumference of the rubber thread 5, as illustrated in FIGS. Even if it is not applied to the entire surface, for example, if a predetermined amount is applied to one half (one) surface of the thread-like rubber 5, the state will be approximately the same as that in the example shown above due to the pressure applied by the guide roll 10 or the like.

In this station S, individual absorbent panels 15 formed in advance from defibrated pulp or the like are arranged at predetermined intervals in the front and rear direction, and at fifth
As shown in the figure, it is fed between the back sheet 3 and the top sheet 14 so that the engagement position with the thread rubber 5 bonded to the upper surface of the back sheet 3 is aligned. Therefore, as shown in FIG.
The continuous diaper 16 is assembled by laminating these members together with an adhesive (not shown) applied to the diaper 4. The continuous diaper 16 is transferred to the next cutting process (not shown) and is cut into individual diapers between the front and rear facing sides of each absorbent panel 15.

8 and the ultrasonic cutter 1 in the middle of the roll.
1 are arranged respectively. In the present invention, a step of such arrangement is provided, and this is applied to the back sheet 3.
The thread rubber 5 and the support tape 9 adhered to
Although it is not a condition that the receiving roll 4 be used as a cooling roll to pass through the receiving roll 4, the effect of using the supporting tape 9 can be further enhanced. Even if the adhesive 7 bonded to the rubber thread 5 is in a partially cured state when the rubber thread is cut, the adhesive applied area of the rubber thread is prevented from shrinking. That is, to explain with reference to FIGS. 6 and 7, the thread-like rubber 5 has adhesive-free areas.
L 1 is nipped by nip rolls 17 and 18 via support tape 9. Therefore, even if the thread-like rubber is cut by the ultrasonic cutter 11 when the adhesive-applied area L 2 of the thread-like rubber 5 on the right side of the drawing is in a partially cured state, the adhesive-applied area L 2 of the thread-like rubber does not contract. There's nothing to do.
After the thread-like rubber is cut, the back sheet 3 is moved to the left side in the figure to form the adhesive application area L2.
The material passes through the cooling receiving roll 4 and nip rolls 17 and 18, is nipped and cooled, and as a result, hardening is promoted.

Since the rubber is cut in the non-adhesive area and the non-adhesive area is shrunk, it is possible in the final step to cut the continuous diaper and seal the cut ends of the resulting individual diapers. In order to hold the thread-like rubber in such a way that it is sandwiched between the continuous back sheet and the continuous support sheet via the adhesive applied to the thread-like rubber, the number of the thread-like rubber is also set to be plural. Since the shrinkage force of each string is made small, even if the thread-like rubber is cut before the adhesive is sufficiently cured in the initial process of applying the adhesive, the thread-like rubber can be coated with the adhesive. The area will not shrink and separate from the backsheet.
Furthermore, although a plurality of thread-like rubbers are continuously supplied and bonded to the back sheet, since the thread-like rubber is held between the back sheet and the supporting sheet as described above, the thread-like rubber Even if it is transported at high speed while being adhered to the back sheet, there will be no problem such as shifting in the width direction during the process.
