Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the easy formation of ruggedness on the surface of a pad material and ensure excellent seat feeling and strong bonding without use of a large amount of an adhesive bonding agent by preliminarily inserting a foamed plastic sheet into a mold for palm forming and integrating a palm with the sheet by press-molding at the time of forming the palm. CONSTITUTION:A press mold 17 made smaller than the surface shape of a pad material to be molded is used and a foamed synthetic resin sheet 13 is preliminarily placed in the lower die 18 of the mold 17. In addition, the predetermined amount of palm is inserted in the lower die 18 and the upper die 19 of the press mold 17 is coupled to the lower die 18, thereby forming a molded palm 12. Then, the molded palm 12 is temporarily fastened to the upper die 23 of a foaming mold 21 and the lower die 22 thereof is filled with foamable synthetic resin solution 14a, thereby molding a foamed body 14. In this case, the solution 14a does not impregnate into the molded palm 12 due to the existence of the foamed synthetic resin sheet 13, but uniformly into the sheet 13, thereby obtaining a strongly bonded foamed body. Consequently, it is possible to easily form ruggedness on the foamed body and ensure the soft and good seat feeling, and high durability.

BACKGROUND ART Conventionally, it is known that a palm is press-molded to make a seat pad material. Further, in order to make the surface of the molded palm soft, as shown in FIG. 6, a pad material 1 was formed by bonding a foam 3 to the surface side of the molded palm 2 with an adhesive 4 or the like.

However, on the surface of the molded palm 2, the ends of the palm fibers protrude irregularly, and the bonding surface with the foam 3 is not smooth. The adhesive penetrated into the inside of the molded palm 2, necessitating the use of a large amount of adhesive 4, and was extremely uneconomical. Further, when the pad material 1 is formed from only the molded palm 2, it is difficult to create an uneven shape on the surface.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned problems, and provides a method for manufacturing a seat pad material comprising a molded palm formed by press-molding a palm, and a foam layered on the surface side of the molded palm. , the molded palm is press-molded using a press-molding mold smaller than the surface shape of the pad material to be molded, and at the time of the press-molding, a foamed synthetic resin sheet is inserted in advance into the press-molding mold. The molded palm, the surface of which is covered with the foamed synthetic resin sheet, is placed in a foaming mold that is larger than the molded palm and has the outer shape of the pad material to be molded, and is placed in the foaming mold. The method is characterized in that a stock solution of a foamed synthetic resin is injected and a foam is integrally foam-molded on the surface side of a molded palm whose surface is covered with the foamed synthetic resin sheet.

According to the present invention, when molding a palm, a foamed synthetic resin sheet is inserted into a press mold in advance, the foamed synthetic resin sheet is press-molded integrally with the palm, and the surface side of the molded palm is covered with the foamed synthetic resin sheet. As a result, it is possible to form a smooth surface without the risk of palm fiber ends protruding on the surface side of the molded palm, and the molded palm whose surface side is covered with this foamed synthetic resin sheet is placed in a foam mold. When the foamed synthetic resin stock solution is injected into the foamed synthetic resin sheet, the foamed synthetic resin sheet prevents a large amount of the foamed synthetic resin stock solution from impregnating the molded palm, and the foamed synthetic resin stock solution is evenly distributed on the foamed synthetic resin sheet. The foam is impregnated and molded, and the foam and the molded palm can be firmly bonded without using a large amount of adhesive, and an uneven shape can be easily formed on the surface of the foam. It is something that can be done.

The above is an embodiment of the method for manufacturing a seat pad material according to the present invention. According to this method, it is possible to form an uneven shape on the surface of a pad material using a molded palm. Since the foam is firmly bonded to the surface, the surface feels soft and provides an excellent sitting sensation. Also, there is no need to use a large amount of adhesive to bond the molded palm and the foam, and there is no need to peel it off. It is possible to obtain a method for manufacturing a seat pad material that is free of oxidation and has excellent durability.
