Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve operability and safety by disposing a mast device on the side of a vehicle for largely expanding the front view field of a fork lift truck. CONSTITUTION:A U-shaped mast disposing space is formed in either left or left side of the central portion of a car body 1 in a fork lift truck. A mast device 2 is disposed to be directed sidwise on the space. The front side of a lift member 6 elevating and lowering along the mast device is extended to the front of front wheels while the extended end is provided with a loading member. With the mast device thus disposed, the front view field from a cab 13 can be expanded and a driver can get on and off from the front of the car body.

(Prior Art) Conventional forklifts generally have a cargo handling device such as a fork disposed on a mast device installed at the front of the vehicle body so as to be movable up and down. In this case, it is standard for the mast device to be placed forward facing forward from the center of the front wheel, but such standard specifications have a large dead zone caused by the mast device and narrow forward visibility. It becomes.

In addition, in the second publication of the latter, a mast device is installed near the center of the vehicle body so as to straddle the driver's seat, and a lift bracket that goes up and down along the mast device protrudes to the front of the front wheels. A fork is attached to the protruding end.

Furthermore, in the case of the second publication, the mast device is located right next to the driver's seat, so the forward field of vision is greatly improved. However, on the other hand, a new problem arises in that the mast devices located on both sides of the driver's seat prevent the driver from getting on and off the vehicle.

A mast device is disposed horizontally on either the left or right side near the center of the vehicle body. The front side of the lift bracket, which serves as an elevating member that moves up and down along the mast device, extends to the front of the surface width, and a cargo handling member is attached to the extending end. Note that a fork or various attachments in place of the fork are used as the cargo handling member.

(Function) According to the above configuration, only the cargo handling member exists in front of the driver's seat, and therefore the forward field of view from the driver's seat is greatly expanded. In addition, getting on and off the driver's seat can be done from the side of the vehicle where no mast device is present.

(Example) Hereinafter, an example of the present invention will be specifically described based on the drawings. As shown in the figure, a U-shaped mast placement space is formed on either the left or right side (the figure shows the right side) in the approximate center of the vehicle body 1, and the mast device 2 is installed in this space. It is placed horizontally.

The mast device 2 consists of a pair of front and rear fixed masts 3 that are fixed to the frame of the vehicle body 1 by bolts, pins, or welding, and a movable mast 4 that moves up and down along the fixed masses 1 to 3. The front and rear lift cylinders 5 that move the mast 4 up and down are arranged on the back (inner surface side) of the mast as shown in FIG. Further, a lift bracket 6 as an elevating member is attached to the movable mass 1-4 so as to be movable up and down, and as is well known, the lift bracket 6 can be moved up and down via a lift chain (not shown).

The lift bracket 6 also includes a pair of front and rear plates 6a that descend along the movable mast 4, an extension plate 6b that is fixed to the plates 6a and whose front side extends toward the front of the vehicle body, and a front end portion of the extension plate 6b that is fixed to the front end of the extension plate 6b. and a mounting plate 6C for the cargo handling member. and extension plate 6
b extends beyond the front wheel 7 on the right side to the front of the vehicle body 1, and a relief notch 8 is formed in the extended portion to avoid interference with the front wheel 7 during descent.

Thus, the lift bracket 6 is arranged so as not to protrude from the width of the vehicle. Incidentally, reinforcement is achieved by attaching a reinforcing plate 6d having a substantially triangular planar shape between the extension plate 6b and the mounting plate 6C.

Further, in front of the mounting plate 6C of the lift bracket 6, a fork bar 10 for supporting a fork 9, which is a cargo handling member, is disposed. The mounting plate 6C is supported so as to be tiltable back and forth, and is tilted back and forth by tilt cylinders 12 provided at the lower left and right ends of the mounting plate 6C.

On the other hand, a driver's seat 13 is provided at a position near the left in the upper center of the vehicle body 1, and a head guard 14 is provided to cover the upper part of the driver's seat 13. The left side of the head guard 14 is supported by the front and rear stays 148, while the right side is supported by the fixed mast 3. That is, the top plate 14b of the head guard 14 also serves as an upper cross beam for interconnecting the upper ends of the front and rear fixed masts 3.

In addition, since the mast device 2 is placed on the right side of the vehicle body 1, the right side of the vehicle as a whole is relatively heavier than the left side, so the shape of the counterweight 15 installed at the rear of the vehicle body 1 is By appropriately setting , it is possible to adjust the center of gravity of the vehicle to obtain an appropriate center of gravity.

The forklift of this embodiment has a configuration in which the mast device 2 is disposed on the right side of the vehicle body 1 as described above.
Therefore, the forward field of view from the driver's seat 13 is very good due to the absence of the mast device 2, and when the fork 9 is used for pallet work etc., it becomes easy to check the fork 9. Further, since the left side of the vehicle body 1 where the mast device 2 is not disposed can be used as a space for getting in and out of the driver's seat 13, the ease of getting in and out of the vehicle is not impaired.

In addition, in this embodiment, the case where the lift cylinders 5 are arranged on the right side of the mast device 2 has been explained, but this can be changed to the left side, and the lift cylinder 5 is not limited to two in the front and rear, but can also be arranged in the center with one between the masts. There is no problem even if it is.

(Effects of the Invention) As detailed above, according to the present invention, by moving the mass mill device in a forklift from a position in front of the vehicle to a position on the side of the vehicle body, forward visibility is significantly improved.
This greatly helps improve work efficiency and safety, and since the mast device is placed horizontally on one side of the vehicle body, the other side of the vehicle body can be secured as a space for passengers to get on and off. It doesn't harm your sexuality.
