DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a method for fixing an end of a welding wire made of steel wire to a winding frame such as a spool.

For example, welding wire is used in a spooled form as shown in FIG. 1A. When winding the wire W around the spool 1, it is necessary to fasten the starting end and the terminal end of the wire W to the spool 1, but this fastening means can easily and reliably fasten the wire W to the spool. It is also required to be easy to release. Normally, in many cases, the wire W is simply passed through a hole 5 provided in the flange portion 4 of the spool by passing the end 3 (the terminal end on the side shown) of the wire W and bending it, as shown in FIG. 1B.

However, simple bending as shown in FIG. 1(B) does not have sufficient fastening strength, and there is a risk that the tape may come off during transportation and reel back, and this tendency is particularly strong in mechanical winding with a high winding tension. Furthermore, the end of the wire passes through the hole 5 and protrudes to the outside of the flange, and its tip C is raised above the flange surface, so when taking out the spooled wire from the cardboard case or transporting it, you will have to work on it. There was a risk of injury to the hands and fingers of the personnel.

For this reason, it has been proposed in the past to make the wire portion that can be bent after coming out from the hole 5 of the flange portion long enough, and to fix the bent portion 3' with adhesive tape 6, as shown in FIG. Jitsukai Showa 53-
16013). However, the work of bending the wire end and pasting the adhesive tape is time-consuming, and even after pasting, it is difficult to fix a rigid welding wire for a long period of time.

The present invention eliminates these drawbacks of the prior art, and allows the end of welding wire to be easily and securely attached to a reel such as a spool, and is extremely practical and safe, allowing workers to work safely. The purpose of this invention is to provide an excellent welding wire fastening method. The gist of the present invention to achieve the above object is to provide a method for fixing an end of a welding wire to a winding frame such as a spool, in which the end of the wire is bent to form a first bent part, and the end of the wire is bent to form a first bent part, and After protruding to the outer surface of the flange through a hole or notch structure, the wire end is bent to form a second bent part, and the second bent part is pressed against the flange surface to cause torsional deformation in the first bent part. The purpose is to press and fix the tip of the wire end against the flange wall surface by the spring action of the wire end that tends to close around the first bent portion caused by the application of the wire.

以下本発明の具体例を図面に基き詳述する。 Hereinafter, specific examples of the present invention will be explained in detail based on the drawings.

FIG. 3 is a diagram showing a method of fixing the end portion of the welding wire (the terminal end portion in the figure) to the spool according to the present invention, and the procedure is as follows, which corresponds to figures A to D in FIG. 3. to secure the wire end to the flange of the spool.

The wire end portion 3 is bent to form a first bent portion A1 , and the wire portion B from the first bent portion A1 to the tip C of the wire W is inserted into the hole 5 provided in the flange portion 4 to form a first bent portion A1 on the outer surface of the flange portion. The second bent part A 2 is connected to the hole 5 and the tip C of the wire W.
The second bent part A2 is rotated about the line L on the flange surface as a rotation axis, and is pressed against the flange surface while maintaining the bending angle of the second bent part A2 (Figure 2 ).

4A and 4B show the state in which the wire end portion 3 is fixedly fixed to the spool by the above operation. A is an enlarged view of the main part, and B is a view taken along the line X-X of A. That is, by the above-mentioned operation, the wire end portion 3 is torsionally deformed at the first bent portion A1 , and becomes spring-like, causing the wire portion B to close around the first bent portion A1 . As a result, the tip C of the wire presses the flange wall surface of the spool in the direction indicated by the arrow F, so that the wire end 3 is securely fixed to the flange 4.

In the above description, the case where the winding frame of the welding wire is a spool has been described, but the same applies to a bobbin and the like. Further, although it is preferable to apply the present invention to both the starting end and the terminal end of the wire, it may be applied to only either one in some cases.
