Abstract

PURPOSE:To uniformly foam foaming beads near a core by supplying steam and cold water in order into the core arranged in a die after packing the foaming beads into cavity. CONSTITUTION:After setting the hollow core 7 to a fixed die 1, by ascending a movable die 2, both dies 1, 2 are clamped. After that, the foaming beads are packed in the cavity 5. Then, the steam is supplied into steam chambers 11, 12 through steam holes 3a, 4a, and also supplied into a hollow part in the core 7 through a steam supplying pipe 9a. After that, the cooling water is supplied into the core 7 through the cooling water supplying pipe 9b. By this method, heating and cooling of the core can be freely executed.

(Prior art) As a molding method for a disappearing model having a core, Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 1986-
There is a method as shown in Japanese Patent No. 263844, in which a core is heated in advance and placed in a molding die, and then a mold is placed between the inner surface of the mold and the outer surface of the core. This is a method of forming a disappearing model by foaming foam beads in the formed cavity.

(Problem to be solved by the invention) In the conventional molding method, the core is heated in a heating furnace etc.
After heating the beads to a temperature range of ℃, they are placed in the mold, but with this level of heating, it is difficult to uniformly foam the foam beads near the core and bring their surfaces into contact. There is a problem in that the surface of the disappearing model that comes into contact with the core cannot be smoothed, and the surface of the model is transferred to the surface of the casting during casting, resulting in deterioration of the surface of the casting. The present invention has been made to solve these problems, and provides a molding method that can smooth the surface of the disappearing model that comes into contact with the core.

(Effects of the Invention) According to the method of the present invention, after filling the cavity with foam beads, steam and cooling water are sequentially supplied into the core placed in the mold, so the core can be heated and cooled freely. As a result, the foamed beads near the core are uniformly foamed, the fusion is good, and the surface of the disappearing model in contact with the mold can be given a smoothness comparable to that of the surface.
