Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a device which mixes an anti-coagulating liquid and blood in good performance by furnishing a means to press a blood bag from above at least in the later period of blood collection. CONSTITUTION:A blood bag pressing means 7 is to presses the upper sides of a blood bag placed horizontally on a retaining tray 6. This retaining tray is to give a press so that the oversurface of the blood bag becomes as flat as possible, wherein the construction shall preferably be such that no press is applied in the initial period of blood collection, and that pressing begins after the bag has expanded to a certain degree. Examples of pressing method are a one using a resilient body such as spring or rubber, a one using magnetic force, and a one utilizing the weight of a pressing member. As the blood bag is flattened by pressure, the internal air is easy to move, which allows good agitation of the liquid in the bag.

(Prior art) When collecting blood from blood donations, etc., two blood bags are usually used.
00- or 400- blood is collected, but the amount of blood collected must be accurately controlled for the safety of the donor. Therefore, in the past, the weight of the blood bag was measured with a spring scale, or the weight of the blood bag was Devices have been used that sense when the balloon inflates to a predetermined thickness and stops blood collection. However, the method using a spring scale requires completely manual operation, making it unsuitable for collecting blood from a large number of people, and the device that detects the swelling of a blood bag has a problem of poor accuracy.

The device invented by the present inventors was superior in that it was able to collect a predetermined amount of blood more accurately and automatically than conventional devices, but it suffered from the phenomenon that the collected blood coagulated inside the blood bag. A problem occurred that occurred more frequently than before. As a result of investigating the cause of this problem, we found that the cause was that the anticoagulant solution filled in the blood bag and the collected blood were not sufficiently mixed.

[Function] There is a small amount of air inside the blood bag, but the inventors' research shows that this air is closely related to stirring the liquid, and when air moves widely inside the bag, stirring occurs. is carried out effectively, and when there is little air movement, there is not much agitation. If you don't press the sides of the blood bag, the center of the bag will expand and the air will stay in that area, and it won't move much even when you shake it, making it difficult to stir the liquid. On the other hand, if you don't press the sides of the blood bag In the device of the present invention, which is provided with a means for doing so, the bag is flattened by compression, making it easier for air to move, and as a result, the liquid in the bag is better agitated.

Preferably, weight measurement methods employed in electronic scales such as magnetostrictive, photoelectric, piezoelectric, radiation, vibration, and gyro scales are used. In the illustrated embodiment, the weight measuring means measures the total weight of the blood bag and the blood bag holding dish, but the built-in microcomputer automatically erases the weight of the blood bag holding dish. In addition, the weight of the blood bag before blood collection may be input in advance or automatically measured and subtracted before blood collection to calculate the net blood weight and display it on the display section 11 on the front panel of the main body. When a predetermined amount of blood is collected, a control unit (not shown) issues a signal to close the blood collection tube closing means 10, the tube is closed, and the blood collection ends.

The blood bag compression means 7 is configured to compress the upper side of the blood bag placed horizontally on the holding tray 6. The compression means compresses the top surface of the blood bag to make it as flat as possible, but do not apply pressure at the beginning of blood collection.
It is preferable to have a structure in which compression begins after the bag has expanded to a certain extent.

The reason for this is to prevent this kind of trouble, since if you apply pressure from the beginning, the air inside the bag may remain concentrated at the edge of the bag, and it will hardly move even if you shake it. In addition, at the beginning of blood collection, the amount of anticoagulant is relatively large compared to the blood, so there is little risk of blood clotting even if the mixing is insufficient. For compression, use an elastic body such as a spring or rubber. There are methods that use magnetic force, methods that use the weight of a compression member, etc., but since the thickness of the bag varies depending on the capacity of the bag used, it is possible to change the thickness of the bag that is compressed accordingly. The compression member is preferably not only a hard plate-like member but also a soft band-like or sheet-like member, as long as the object of the present invention can be achieved.

In the quantitative blood sampling device shown in the figure, preparation for blood sampling is completed by placing the blood bag 8 on the holding tray 6, setting the compression means 7 and the blood sampling tube closing means IO, and closing the lid of the blood bag storage section. Then, when the activation button is pressed, measurement and shaking are started, and when a predetermined amount of blood is collected, the closing means is activated to stop blood collection.

(Experiment example) In the latter stage of blood collection, in order to simulate a state in which blood newly flowing into the blood bag is mixed with blood that has already been mixed with anticoagulant in the bag, a 220-d blood bag for 200-d blood collection was used. The sorbitol solution was dispensed, set in the quantitative blood sampling device described above, and while shaking, red-colored sorbitol solution 5- was slowly injected from the blood sampling tube and the state of mixing was observed. The blood bag was shaken back and forth at a cycle of 2.5 seconds with an inclination angle of +7° to -20°.

As a result, in the device of the present invention provided with a compression means, the colored liquid was uniformly spread throughout the bag about 2 minutes after the injection was completed. On the other hand, when a similar experiment was conducted using a conventional device without compression means, the colored liquid did not spread throughout the bag even after shaking for one hour.
