However, since each shock absorber is structured to protrude in the longitudinal direction from the front and rear of the frame on which the power unit is mounted, there is a limit to the shortening of the wheel base with such a shock absorber arrangement structure. Furthermore, since the shock absorber is a somewhat heavy object, the conventional arrangement has a limit in terms of lowering the center of gravity of the vehicle body.

Therefore, the purpose of the present invention is to create a shock absorber that simultaneously shortens the wheelbase and lowers the center of gravity of the vehicle body in the above-mentioned swing arm type motorcycle, and also makes it possible to simplify the structure of the frame and reduce its weight. The object of the present invention is to provide an absorber arrangement structure.

In order to solve the above problems and achieve the purpose, the present invention supports the front and rear wheels respectively on swinging arms extending in the front and rear directions from the power unit side in the center of the vehicle body, and responds to each swinging arm. The two-wheeled motor vehicle is characterized in that the two shock absorbers are arranged in parallel on the lower surface of the power unit so as to face in the front-rear direction and at least partially overlap.

As described above, in the swing arm type motorcycle, the shock absorbers 57 and 62, which respond to the front leading arm 20 and the rear trailing arm 30, respectively, are directed toward the lower surface of the frame 1 on which the power unit is mounted in the longitudinal direction. Since the shock absorbers 57 and 62 are arranged so that they do not protrude from the front and rear of the frame 1, it is possible to shorten the wheelbase and lower the center of gravity of the vehicle body. Furthermore, the structure of the frame 1 can be simplified, contributing to weight reduction.

By the way, in the embodiment described above, both the shock absorbers 57 and 62 are arranged adjacent to the vehicle body center line N, and the exhaust pipes 66 and 6 from the front cylinder part 6 are arranged on the outside thereof.
However, as shown in FIG. 6, both shock absorbers 57, 62 are arranged closer to the frames 1, 1 on both sides, and the two exhaust pipes 66, 66 are placed adjacent to the vehicle body center line N. In this way, the exhaust pipes 66, 66 may be disposed between the two shock absorbers 57, 62.

As is clear from the above description, according to the shock absorber arrangement structure of the present invention, it is possible to simultaneously achieve a further shortening of the wheelbase and a lower center of gravity of the vehicle body compared to the conventional motorcycle in a swing arm type motorcycle. As a result, the frame structure can be simplified and lightened.

By arranging the two shock absorbers to the left and right with respect to the center line of the vehicle as in the example, the weight balance between the left and right sides is good, and the cooling is achieved by the running wind without being hindered by the front wheels. The performance of the shock absorber can be stabilized.

Furthermore, by arranging two shock absorbers approximately parallel to the exhaust pipe and so that they overlap when viewed from the side,
Since both the shock absorbers and the exhaust pipe can be arranged in the same horizontal plane, the vertical dimensions of the parts disposed below the power unit can be reduced, and the engine can be lowered to lower the center of gravity of the entire vehicle.
