置された光源間の光を透過する液晶表示装置にお
いて、 一方の基板の他方基板から外方に延びて突出し
た部分で、前記他方基板側に、半導体集積回路を
直接に設け、 前記一方基板の光源側の表面には、その一方基
板内を伝幡する光を吸収する物質を密着したこと
