困難であつた。そこで、てこ比を大きくすること
によつて鉄蓋に加える力を大きくなるようにし、
鉄蓋と受枠との固着状態を解除できるようにすれ
ばよいのであるが、構造上そのようにすることは
困難であつた。

に大車輪13a,13bをそれぞれ軸支してい
る。14aは補助軸部10に回転自在に嵌合され
たパイプ状の鍵棒支持体であつて、鍵棒15aと
鉄蓋上面に当接して押さえる蓋押え16aとが固
着されている。鍵棒15aは鍵棒長調節ねじ17
により長さを調節できる。14bは主軸部9に回
転自在に且つ軸方向に移動し得るよう嵌合された
鍵棒支持体であつて、下半部が回動し得る鍵棒1

て支持する支持棒であつて、中央の折れ曲がり部

関着されており、この支持棒18と主てこ部2、
軸杆8とで三角形をなす。小車輪7は、鍵棒15
aがマンホールの鉄蓋aの鍵穴cに挿入係合し、

し、てこ杆1の支点となつて鉄蓋aを受枠bとの

杆1を傾けるための角度が比較的小さくてすむ。
このときの上昇に要する力は、鉄蓋aと受枠bの
固着状態を解除するときに要する力に比べて小さ
くてよいので、てこ比が小さくてもハンドル4に
加える力は比較的小さくてすむ。
