Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily obtain a designed steel sheet which has a colored clear pattern and is enriched in decorative properties by coloring the stainless steel sheet with the mixed acid of sulfuric acid and chromic acid and closely sticking the films having a required pattern on the required parts and thereafter polishing the other parts excepting there parts. CONSTITUTION:A colored film face 6 is formed on the whole surface of a stainless steel strip 3 by treating the surface thereof in a continuous coloring device 4 in which the mixed acid of sulfuric acid and chromic acid (salt) is introduced. This stainless steel strip is cut to the required size by a shearing device 5 according to necessity. The required patternlike film materials 7 having 10-120mum thickness are closely stuck on the required parts of this colored film face 6. The colored film 6 of the part excepting the film materials 7 is polished until at least the material of stainless steel strip 3 is exposed. Thereafter the film materials 7 are removed and thereby the designed stainless steel sheet which has a large design and a stereoscopic effective pattern in some degree is obtained.

Metal plates with excellent weather resistance, heat resistance, impact resistance, etc., and high design effects have become strongly desired. Therefore, in the past, the surface of stainless steel sheets specified in JIS G/1305 r Cold Rolled Stainless Steel Sheet was treated with a mixed acid of sulfuric acid and chromic acid or chromate to form a colored film on the surface. Designed stainless steel sheets have been used that have been colored, or those whose surfaces have been colored using this chemical coloring method, and which have been further finished using an embossing method or the like to create irregularities on the surface.

However, even if the conventional decorative steel sheets made of stainless steel sheets as mentioned above are colored using chemical coloring methods, they are very complicated and only a single color can be obtained unless strict process control is carried out, resulting in monotonous color tones. On the other hand, a method of adding unevenness by embossing or the like produces a unique three-dimensional pattern due to the uneven surface, but there is a limit to the size of the unevenness, and the pattern form is patterned and tends to become monotonous. However, there has been a problem in that it is difficult to easily obtain a stainless steel plate with a particularly large design or a geometric pattern represented by straight lines.

As a result of various studies to solve the above problems, the inventors of the present invention discovered that the surface of a stainless steel plate is colored with a mixed acid of sulfuric acid and chromic acid or a chromate, and other surfaces than the colored film surface. By forming a polished finish on the stainless steel plate base surface where the metal base of the stainless steel plate is exposed, the desired large and clear pattern can be created, unlike fine uneven patterns such as embossing. The present invention has been completed by determining that it is possible to obtain a stainless steel plate with a three-dimensional effect due to the convex surface of the colored film portion and the concave surface of the polished stainless steel metal base. be.

In the drawing, 1 is a colored film surface on the surface of a stainless steel plate that is formed in a pattern by being treated with a mixed acid of sulfuric acid and chromic acid or chromate, and the pattern of this colored film surface 1 is shown in Figure 1. Although it is relatively large as shown in FIG. Reference numeral 2 denotes a concave stainless steel sheet base surface in which the colored film surface 1 is polished to a depth deeper than the thickness of the colored film on the colored film surface 1, so that the metal base of the stainless steel sheet is exposed. Note that if this stainless steel plate base surface 2 is mirror-finished by buffing, which will be described later, the amount of light reflected will increase, causing the colored film surface 1 to become mirror-finished.
This further strengthens the contrast between the stainless steel plate and the stainless steel plate, which has an even better design.

As shown in FIG. 5, the method for producing the stainless steel plate according to the present invention is as follows: As shown in FIG. A colored stainless steel strip 3' is produced by processing the stainless steel strip 3' (which usually includes a film hardening treatment device, although not particularly shown in FIG. 5) to form a colored film surface 6 on the entire surface. (There are cases where the shearing device 5 does not cut the desired size properly.) Then, a desired pattern-shaped coating material 7 having a thickness of 10 to 120% is closely adhered to a desired portion on this colored coating surface 6. After that, the colored coating on the portion 8 other than the coating material 7 is polished until at least the base of the stainless steel plate is exposed, and then the coating material 7 is removed.

The coating material 7 used in this manufacturing method is preferably a metal foil such as stainless steel foil or aluminum foil, or a surface protection film such as a relatively hard plastic film. It is also possible to apply methods such as Also, the thickness of the coating material 7 is 1
The reason why it is set at 0 to 120- is because if it is thinner than 10Ia, the coating material 7 will be worn or torn by polishing, and necessary parts of the colored coating surface 6 that should be left without polishing will be removed by polishing. , 120-, the boundary of the colored film surface 6 that needs to be polished remains unpolished, making it impossible to obtain a clear pattern, which is not preferable.

Furthermore, it is desirable to polish to a mirror finish by buffing, and the conditions for this are to use a buff roll in which cartridge-type buffs are connected in the axial direction in the form of a roll, such as those used in ordinary continuous polishing lines. The stainless steel plate to be polished ( A disc-shaped synthetic resin foam (sponge material) that is pressed against the surface of a steel strip (or steel strip) and rotated in surface contact is used as the buffing material, and the synthetic resin foam and stainless steel are polished from the synthetic resin foam side. In the stainless steel design steel sheet according to the present invention as described above, the stainless steel sheet surface has a colored film surface formed by treating with a mixed acid of sulfuric acid and chromic acid or a chromate, and a stainless steel sheet blank formed by polishing. Because it is composed of the ground and the ground, the colored part exhibits different color tones such as vivid hue, lightness, and saturation, which are unique to chemical coloring methods, while the base surface of the stainless steel plate is formed with a passivation film unique to stainless steel. Because it exhibits a metallic color, a rich and clear pattern with strong contrast can be obtained on the entire surface.Furthermore, the surface of the stainless steel plate is polished to form a concave surface with a large area, so a large pattern can be obtained and a somewhat three-dimensional effect can be obtained. It also comes to appear.

- As mentioned above, the stainless steel plate according to the present invention has a colored film surface formed by treating the surface of the stainless steel plate with a mixed acid of sulfuric acid and chromic acid or a chromate, and a metallic color formed by polishing. Because it consists of a stainless steel plate base surface and a stainless steel plate base surface, the colored film surface has a clear color tone that does not fade or discolor, while the stainless steel plate base surface has a metallic color with a passivation film unique to stainless steel. As a result, the contrast between the two tones is strong, resulting in a clear pattern with the desired rich color tones on the entire surface. Moreover, unlike the finely uneven surface of the stainless steel plate base surface due to embossing, etc., the polishing process creates a concave surface with a large area. As the pattern is formed, it becomes a large pattern and also has a somewhat three-dimensional effect.

In addition, the method for manufacturing a stainless steel plate according to the present invention is as follows:
This method involves attaching a patterned coating material of a certain thickness to the surface of a stainless steel plate on which a colored coating has been formed, and then removing the coating material after polishing the area other than the coating material, so it does not require a complicated process. It can now be manufactured easily and economically.
