写体像を静止画像信号に光電変換する撮像手段と
、該静止画像信号を可視化する表示手段と、該静
止画像信号を複数画面分記憶する記憶手段とを有
する電子カメラにおいて、前記記憶手段または前
記撮像手段からの第１静止画像信号と、前記記憶
手段からの第２静止画像信号とを合成して第３静
止画像信号を作り出す合成手段と、前記第２静止
画像信号を前記記憶手段から選択する為に手動操
作され、且つ該手動操作の度毎に前記記憶手段か
ら新たな第２静止画像信号を選択する選択手段と
、前記記憶手段からの新たな前記第２静止画像信
号の読出、該読出動作による第２静止画像信号の
前記合成手段への送出、第３静止画像信号の作成
、該第３静止画像信号の前記表示手段への送出に
よる可視化の各動作を前記選択手段の手動操作に
応じて一連に制御する制御手段とを含み、前記記
憶手段は任意の該第３静止画像信号を記憶する事
