Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to surely seal in a short time by providing a smaller diameter part in part of a sealing glass tube and forming the part thick. CONSTITUTION:Part of a glass tube 4 of a glass sealing tube is of a smaller diameter, and the glass thickness of the part is thicker than the other parts. The glass tube of the glass sealing tube is installed at a glass container 1 to be a pipe to a vacuum pump. Sealing is performed at the smaller diameter part 4a by heat. Sealing can thus be achieved at the smaller diameter part 4a securely, and by forming the smaller diameter part 4a thick, it can be strong. Failures such as vacuum leak, cracks, etc., during sealing work can thus be eliminated, thereby sealing can be surely performed in a short time.
