Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a curing furnace in which heating condition is easily regulated by partitioning its furnace body for continuously passing binder-impregnated braided fiber along its passing direction into a plurality of heating zones. CONSTITUTION:A curing furnace body 4 is partitioned into four independent spaces 5 along the passing direction of binder-impregnated braided fiber 2, and a hot air supply tube 6 and a discharge tube 7 are connected to the spaces 5 to form heating zones 8. When binder-impregnated braided fiber 2 containing much binder 3 such as braided fiber 2 of large diameter is cured, it is cured by using all four zones 8, while when binder-impregnated braided fiber 2 of less binder 3 such as that of small diameter is cured, one, two or three zones 8 are employed corresponding to the impregnating amount. Thus, the heating condition such as integrating temperature can be extremely simply regulated by selecting only the number of the zones.

Detailed Description of the Invention (Field of Industrial Application) The present invention is applicable to reinforcing materials used to strengthen the tensile strength of structures by being embedded in structural materials with low tensile strength, such as concrete and plastics. Structural materials used as a substitute for reinforcing bars or as a substitute for prestressed steel wires, more specifically, as disclosed in JP-A No. 81-290150, thin wires are knitted into a braided cord shape and each thin wire is bonded with a binder. The present invention relates to a curing furnace for curing a binder impregnated into the braided fibers when producing a fibrous rod-shaped structural material that is bonded together.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the curing furnace of the present invention binds each thin wire to each other by curing a binder impregnated into a braided fiber body formed by knitting thin wires into a braid shape. This is a curing furnace for producing a fibrous rod-shaped structural material, characterized in that a curing furnace main body through which a binder-impregnated braided fiber body is continuously passed is divided into a plurality of heating sections along the direction of passage thereof. shall be.

When using an epoxy resin as a binder, the epoxy resin goes into a softened state called the so-called B stage before it hardens, so a wiping member provided in each heating section removes any excess bonding on the surface of the braided fiber body just before hardening. The agent is wiped off, and the mesh-like irregular surface of the braided fiber body appears sharply.
